Oh no!!! Blair how could you!!!! ;) I had a feeling my day would come! Don't anybody get mad at me if I freak out from overload of questions! I do HORRIBLE during interviews!
But I shall do my best. Ahem. Here goes.
What is your pet peeve?
Oh this is easy- being honked at or otherwise messed with while walking my dogs down the street. I nearly have a heart attack every time!
When did you realized you had such wonderful talent at drawing?
Hm, well I knew when I was 5 years old that I "wanted" to be an artist. And then in 3rd grade or so I had a pretty big ego about the horses and unicorns I could draw! LOL But I guess in middle and high school my art teachers gave me so much attention that I had to trust their word and assume I was good at drawing. I had some classmates who were always way better than me and I guess that fired me up, and in a way, that was a pet peeve of mine! Kids who were better artists than me!!! :D
What breed of dog would you love to own, that you dont already?

Ummm.. it will be 2 years on Mother's Day. :)

Now that we have 7 dogs I really don't want kids anymore! Two years ago I would have answered, yes, absolutely. But now, um, probably not.
What's your dream vacation?
Is the cost covered? ;) I'd love to go back to Paris for a while and then down to the south of France... aren't there some beaches or something? ;D But this time when I go to Europe my dogs will have to be kept in the most luxurious kennel known to man so they don't have anxiety while I am gone. :)

2 stories, wooden house, old looking or actually an old renovated house, big covered front porch, front and back yard fenced in with 6 foot wrought iron fencing and huge gate out front, back yard has a gigantic labyrinth type garden with a fountain, lots of shrubs and huge oak trees somewhere on the property, inside has tall ceilings, hardwood floors, clawfoot bathtub... ahhhh....
Where would your dream home be located?

Have you ever ridden a horse...if not would you?
Yes, I used to ride when I was younger and I had a paint horse named Jingo from the time I was 10 until I was 17. I loved riding bareback especially. I haven't ridden in quite a while but I would love to again.

What initially got you into fostering? And for how long have you been doing it?
Will works with a guy who's wife runs a canine rescue. She told him they were looking for someone to foster a great dane (Darwin). As soon as I found out she would let me do it, I was in- and I was hooked! That was about a year ago.
Do you have any siblings? Are they big dog lovers like you?
I have 3 sisters. My older sister has given away every dog she has ever had. She is not a good dog-mommy. My younger sisters love dogs. One has two mixed breeds and the other has a sweet pit bull.
Your first dog?
His name was Copper, he was a terrier/poodle mix. He was fantastic, he was our family dog for 14 years.
When did you decide to do dog portraits? The why is obvious!
I was working at a vet clinic and we had a painting hung on the wall of a husky. I thought I could do better, so I asked my boss if he would hang up some of my art. He said... maybe, if it's any good. So I did a portrait of a Bassett Hound, and today it is still hanging in that lobby! After folks saw my work , they wanted me to do portraits of their dogs. So I charged $35 for a portrait! I was 17 or 18 years old at the time. :D
When do you get time to do anything will all them pooches in the house?
I don't! I can't get a thing done! :D
What is your dream for the future?
Buy a house and stop renting! I basically want to keep living as I am living now but in my own house near the coast, I think I will always want to work at home doing artistic stuff and I would also like to get back into doing some animal healing work- Reiki and Acupressure, massage, that type of thing. ;D And I want to start playing music again... I'd love to take violin or viola lessons. :)
Who's the best cook in the house?
It sure ain't me unless pancakes is what's for dinner!!! I am the pancake queen!!! :D

Heavens no.
If you could stay one age for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably something a little older than what I am now. I still get treated like a teenager even though I am 30 years old! I need some wrinkles or something!!! :D

I haven't really had a favorite item of clothing since Zoot chewed up my red silk sweater about 4 years ago. ;)

Ummm... that's a hard one! I enjoy food quite a bit. The only thing that comes to mind are those Japanese pickles at the sushi bar. I think they are called oshinko. YUCK! :PÂ

Grilled cheese on sourdough bread with onions and green peppers. ;D
What characteristic s do you despise?
That is really hard to answer because I think I am pretty forgiving of people. I have been through some hard times and some bad phases myself, so it's difficult for me to get mad at other people, really and truly. But to go ahead and answer: disrespect and inconsideratio n bother me.

My most memorable isn't necessarily my best. :-\ It was my 21st, and I was just sitting at a bar alone, the bartender giving me free drinks and feeling bad for me. My friends were supposed to go out with me but they never called me back. :'(Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Were you named after anyone?
I guess in a weird way I am named after someone in the Bible, although I don't really know "Rebekah"'s story, because my parents never really taught me any Bible stuff, and it's odd anyhow because my mom is not a religious woman at all. And I think she is the one who named me. So maybe it was just coincidence.
Do you like your handwriting?

I guess it depends on what other person I was! But yes, I think so!
Do looks matter?
I have to say yes and no. I am an artist and I am visually obsessed. Seriously. So I am drawn very easily to things and people who are beautiful. (Have you ever seen a picture of Will?) But, someone can be great-looking and also be a big schmuck. So, yes I have been easily suckered in by looks before, but I am probably more attracted to inner beauty.
Favorite toy as a child?
Oh, there were many, it depends on what age. I had some stuffed animals who were very important to me, and Star Wars figures, and a billion model horses. I was very possessive of my toys as a child. I also had a toy truck which I loved very much when I was really little.
What class in High School was totally useless?
For me, math. I was good at it but oh how pointless!! (And now I am paying for it because I can barely add and subtract anymore!)
What are your nicknames?
Haha Doghealer, Beckula, Queen Beckula, Beck, Reba, Reebs, Reeber, Bekah, Beek, Beeker, B.K., and for the most part of my life I was called Becky but I really hated it because it does not fit my personality at all. My family still calls me Becky. Oh I hate it!!!Â

Kinda. There is one gal who I still email back and forth a little, and back when I still lived in Gwinnett I would run into childhood friends a lot! There are definitely some friends who I wish I was still in touch with.

No. I just didn't feel like it.
Have you ever met anyone famous?
Yes. I ate dinner with Michael Stipe and some other REM people one night in Athens. I have met some other famous musicians too, briefly, but Michael Stipe is by far the most famous person I have ever met.

My favorite band of all time is U2.

Copper, my little childhood dog who was half poodle half terrier. I think he weighed about 15 pounds. Little sweetie. :)

How about hemp! All of my dogs wear hemp collars. As for training, I use hemp martingale collars, and on Nigel I do use a Halti, er, gentle leader.
favorite puppy experience?
The one that comes to mind was the first night I brought Turkey home, back when she was a foster and her name was Daisy. That night she slept on top of my head all night long. ::) ;D

Honestly, I don't think I have ever blown on them!

I have an amazing cat named Don Gato, and no he is not declawed! I would never have a cat declawed. I used to be a vet tech and the first time I helped out with a de-claw I litterally passed out and hit the floor. Will has two cats who live with us and they are not declawed either.
where is your hometown?
I consider my hometown to be Snellville, Ga. We moved there when I was 4 years old. Before that we were a few different places up north and I haven't lived back up there since. So Snellville it is. :)

I met Will about 4 years ago when we were both playing music and our bands played together a few times! :D I was playing cello in a quiet acoustic band and he played drums in an art-rock band. We didn't hit it off right then, but a couple years later one of his old band mates became one of my best friends. I found out Will was in Nashville and he was playing in a new band. I went to one of his concerts, and this time, we hit it off... ;D Within months I had moved to Nashville... and I was playing bass guitar in his band! Ha! Since then that band has fallen apart and I realize that the rock-n-roll lifestyle is not for me!
But it has definitely been worth it to move here. ::)

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a system of natural healing developed by a Japanese man maned Mikao Usui. It involves using the hands to focus healing energy to a person (or dog, etc.) to help support their body's natural ability to heal itself. To receive a session makes you feel really relaxed and almost like you are floating, you can feel an energy flow through your body and some people have visions. The word Reiki means "spiritually guided life-force energy". It's pretty awesome! I have earned the highest Reiki degree possible, so I am considered a "Reiki Master".
If you could meet anyone (dead or alive) and spend a day with them who would it be?
Wow this is tough, so I am going to go with my first impulse and say Sonia Choquette. She is an author and spiritual counselor and I adore her books. I would love to spend a day with her! :)

I would have to say my first love was a kid named Kane Lester. I was in first grade. And yes, I really and truly felt I was in love. I remember it well. Chasing him on the playground, teasing him, hoping he would sit close by in the lunchroom... I had it bad for him. He was so cute! And he just happened to live down the road from a girlfriend of mine so I went to her house pretty often! ;) Just hoping to get a glimpse of him!!! :D

I wish the first thing I did in the morning was peeing!!! Noooo... the dogs pee first. Then they get fed. (I can do this sleepwalking.) Then the cats get fed. And the litterbox cleaned. Then I pee. ;D

The last thing I do at night is hand Will my empty whiskey glass/beer bottle/mug of hot chocolate and irish cream. :D ;)

If you had the urge to write a book, what would it be about?
Oooh yeah, this one is in the works! I want to write my own book about Reiki healing for animals. ;D And I intend to!

You better ask Will that question!!! ;) He says we are already married. And everyone calls him my husband anyway, so all we really need are some rings! We actually bought some cheap rings at Target one time so we would look properly married but the very first day, the fake diamonds started falling out of mine!!! :DÂ

It would have to involve dining out because I so love good food. And hopefully some wine and definitely some dessert. ;D If it were the perfect evening it would be summertime, and there would be a walk after dinner, maybe some nice time spent in a coffee shop over a late latte, and then home to snuggle with dogs. ;D Oh wow that sounds nice right now!!!

When we were long distance dating, he sent me a box full of wonderful things while I was in France so that I would come home to it. He had made me a mixed cd of romantic songs, and filled the box with all kinds of stuff that was just really sweet. It made me cry. I can barely remember what all was in there but I remember very well how it made me feel. :)
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully in that dream house I keep talking about!! And near the ocean. In the sunlight. With plenty of money to spare so that I can spoil the heck out of my dogs.
Do you have any regrets?
I try try try not to regret anything, because it all led me to where I am now. But if I could go back I would change a lot. But then again, I guess every decision I ever made was doing what felt right at the time. But man oh man I wish I had never gotten that first credit card!!! :D ;)
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Being able to earn money doing what I love. :)
What has surprised you most about yourself?
I used to be a really negative angry person when I was a teenager and I think I successfuly turned my life around in a huge way. :)

Yes, when I was 16 I was driving my '73 VW Karmann Ghia and I got smacked by a semi truck, hit and run. Miraculously my friend and I were ok, but alas, my sweet car was not. :(
