You all are not going to believe this. hahaha
My hubby got me a female long-haired Saint pup for my birthday. :o We are getting her tomorrow, I went to see her today and omg I love her! :-*
After we got home and I sat there and thought about it, I was like omg 3 Saints. I must be crazy! LOL
Oh and if you guys have any name suggestions.. here's the list we have so far. I like different names but my hubby like more common names.
Daisy.. I like this one
Ariel
Sadie
Emma
Haley
Mia.. Hubby likes this one
Kayla
Misty
Sasha
Vixen

Lyn, I am so amazingly jealous of you right now! You are the third person this week that I know is getting another Saint Bernard!!!!! Congrats! I like the name Daisy, but we really must have pics first to decide! ;)

Haha! Yeah pics probably would help. I wish I had some but stupid me forgot my camera. :-[ Her head and most of her body are an awesome dark chocolate color. So different from both Bubba and Lola since Bubba is more reddish and Lola is more of a sandy brown.
We might just have to name her Mia Daisy. LOL I can't choose between them and neither can hubby. To me she just looks like a Daisy. Maybe once she's here one or the other will just stick.
I've had puppy fever since Shelly started posting her Dane puppy pics. I've wanted a rough coat female for AGES. But I never thought I would get one, expecially since hubby wanted a Newf pup. Surprise. LOL

Congratulation s! That is so exciting. i must say, you have my dream husband - the kind that surprises you with dogs, instead of the kind you have to nag and nag at to be able to get another one, lol.

Second - Can we trade hubbies - mine does laundry, washes floors, cleans bathrooms, etc. but WON'T let me get another dog and I don't think he particularly likes the one we have
So if your bathrooms are dirty, you need your house painted etc, we could switch

My hubby is going to get a really big head from all the compliments. LOL But no he doesn't have any brothers.. just 4 sisters. :D
I'm kinda bummed though..We were suppose to go pick her up today but they called us this morning and said they are getting a huge snow storm there and that the roads are horrible. It was actually pretty nasty when we went there yesterday but it had just started. It's a 3.5 hour round trip. My hubby took today off to go get her. So they are going to bring her to me instead either tomorrow or wednesday since my hubby works all week and I don't drive. Which was super nice of him.. but now I have to wait. :'(

So far it looks like we are going to name her Mia. Unless it just completely doesn't 'fit' once we get her here. Although I still prefer Daisy.. I thought I'd let my hubby name her. ;)

Congratulation s. I'm super jealous of everyone and all their new puppies. Gosh I want one so bad and especially a Saint. For what it's worth, I really like the name Mia. I think it's a very sweet name and I'm looking forward to seeing her pictures.

That's gotta be the best birthday present ever! And he kept it a surprise, WOW. Very good hubby you have there, and yes I think it's fair that he get to name her, although she is YOUR birthday present. (we need some angel/devil emoticons!!) Just picture calling their names when you're outside, which name fits best? They tend to pick their own names, i know i had a name picked out for a year before I got my kitty but it just didn't suit her so I had to pick another. Congrats on the pup, we are going to be in puppy heaven on BPO pretty soon ;D

Congratulation s!!!! I'm so excited for you,I can't wait to see tons of pics of her.Yrs ago I picked the name Aldora for a bird hubby got me for Christmas,but since she already said her own name I didn't change it.Aldora tanslates to mean gift.

Ok I have pics! ;D We got her yesterday but she is h*ll of wheels. So she's keeping me busy. LOL She is evil! :D
She's so different from Bubba and Lola, she chews everything and like to hang onto pantlegs and feet. Then she growls and carries on like a fruit loop when you try to peel her off. VERY vocal. She's a very confident, bold little girl. Not the most dominant in the litter.. but second in command, haha. She's going to keep me on my toes.
Lola has taken to her kinda like she's her mother. She checks on her when she's sleeping and butts her with her nose pushing her back when she's nipping too hard. Bubba could honestly care less about Mia. He's interested in her but she's too small to play with yet.

OMG... I love her face! What a cutie. I dreamt last night (two separate dreams even) that I had rescued a German Sheppard, and then later I rescued a Rotti. LOL, I must REALLY be wanting a puppy now!

Oh my gosh I LOVE MIA!!!!!! What a sweet baby. Thanks for the pictures and good luck. Also, give Miss. Lola a huge pat on the head for being so patient and sweet and welcoming her new baby sister. They look so great together.

Did hubby pick her out too? She's definately a cutie! I think the cuter they are, the more evil they are! I always say to my guys "it's a good thing you're so cute..." ;)

I am insanely jealous! I will certainly pull this thread up when my husband gets home and throw him the "Poor me, look what this woman's hubby did," eyes! Congrats-she is soooo cute! If you decide you can't handle her, I'll be glad to take her off your hands ! :)

I told hubby maybe we should have named her Lucy, short for Lucifer. LOL If we can't nip this nipping/growling stuff in the butt, I'm sure I'll be asking for suggestions. :D
Housetraining is going pretty good though. She potties as soon as I take her outside. Although generally we are outside ever 30 minutes unless she's sleeping. I feel totally burnt out and tired already. hahah. 3 is definitely my limit. I don't know how you all 4-5-6 plus dogs do it. ;)

Oh I love that pic,she looks so adorable!!!!! I know that tired burnt out feeling :)Those first few weeks with Tub I thought each day was 72 hrs long ;D Today he had his first accident in 3 days,I'm so proud of him.Have you weighed her yet??She looks like a big girl.I can't rememeber how old she is either.And keep the pics coming!!!

Butt's mom, Mia is 8 weeks old today. I'm not sure what she weighs, but she feels pretty light to me, she's all hair. I'm hoping to get her into the vet tomorrow or monday for a check-up so I'll find out for sure then. :)
I think the reason one of the reasos I'm so burnt out is that my hubby is not a fan of using crates, which I think I've mentioned before. Sooooo, She's sleeping on the bed with me until I can trust her enough to be on the floor with Bubba and Lola. Needless to say, I wake up a million and one times during the night looking to see where she is and what she's doing. Or I wake up to her chewing on my head. LOL
I'm thinking of getting an x-pen or getting hubby to make something like one and put her in it at night at the foot of the bed with her toys and bones. We have some left over chainlink fencing that might work. :-\ With my luck though she will probably scream all night long in it and hubby will telling me to take her out so he can sleep. LOL

Yes they are all hair at that age.The first time I gave Tub a bath he looked like a skinny drowned rat :) I wonder what age they start loosing this thick babby fur?? I weigh Tub with me on the bathroom scale and then me by myself.Or atleast I will for a little while longer,he's up to 43.5 lbs at 15 wks. When he first came home I used a baby playpen to keep him in at night and when ever else I needed to be sure where he was.This week is his first week sleeping on the floor like a big boy and he is even coming to find me when he needs to go out at night.They grow so fast.

Oooh hey a playpen! That would work.. Thanks! This way she could see out, but any accidents would be easy to clean up. Now I just need to see if I can find even a used one. :D
Wow Tub is getting tubby. hahaah Won't be too much longer and you won't be able to pick him up anymore. :D
