Thanks for all your help, I researched it and found out they've overcharged me about 45.00 just on the meds. I'm not sure how to order from foster&smith I would like to do that if anyone know how.  Also, it sounds like since he is constantly on heartgard that the fecal and heartworm tests could be done bi-yearly.  I wouldn't have a problem paying for the tests if they wouldn't have overcharged me on the meds.  Also, I forgot to mention that the vet gave me two bottles of the 40.00 ear drops, "just in case" I didn't have enough.

I don't know, I looked for the drops and the most EXPENSIVE I could find was 32.00  they are all over the internet for 22.00.  I found on the heartworm website they RECOMMEND testing yearly, but 26.00 and I'm not sure if they need to do the cytology.  I feel like they would give him the same meds for the ear infection no matter what they saw. As for the fecal you've got me, he's up to date on all of his vacc. and does not show ANY symptoms of worms.  I was expecting to pay between 100-150 at the MOST, maybe I'm too frugal ???

OH MY GOD!! we just got back from taking Mason to the vet.  Do you think this is average, we took him in for an ear infection and heartgard.  They charged us 220.00, I feel like they took advantage.  Here's the breakdown, please let me know what you think!!  I don't think I needed the Cytology fecal or Heartworm test.
_exam             27
_heartgard        57
_Ear Cytology     20
_Fecal            17
_Heartworm test   26
_Ear drops        80

She's beautiful, great markings.  You should try to get film ASAP, like you said she's already grown so much in the last 5-6 weeks.  Heaven forbid you miss something! HAHA

People just aren't educated about the breed, I guess it's better that theyre concerned rather than turn their head.

jabear is right!  Love him to death!  I got Mason through a reputable breeder, he had papers, certs., and his parents were show dogs.  With all that, he still had excess cartilage in one eye.  So, you never know.  Just love him and take the best care you can for him.  Whatever happens, happens!  Did you name him yet?

Mason is either sleeping or talking ALL the time.  It doesn't bother me, I just wish I knew what he was trying to say!  He groans, moans and huffs. Then when he goes to sleep he snores.

Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: I colored my hair...

For future reference, You're hair turned that color because you had blonde before it's like mixing red and white you get pink.  You needed to "fill it" first by making your hair like a dark strawberry blonde first and then putting the goal color on.  Thought you might like to know! ;)

Now that he's eating get him on a schedule. Saint puppies are supposed to eat 4 times a day. After a couple of weeks of a solid schedule he'll be fine and he should get better gains.
You must watch the water intake during the puppy time. Saint pups gulp alot of air when they drink. I dont thinks he's training you he's just puking because he is full of air. Activity should be limited after meals and after he's had too much water. You can tell when they are full of air just from the bloated belly. Just my .02.

Mason sleeps alittle more than every other breed ive known small to giant.
