Gentle Leader harness
« on: March 04, 2006, 06:12:20 pm »
I heard somewhere...ma ybe here that gentle leader makes a harness. I have not seen this in any stores near me and am interested in hearing any success stories people have had. I've tried halti and a regular gentle leader but they both fought it so much...they hate it(not to mention Daisy ate the GL  ::))
I think a gentle leader style harness would be a perfect compromise.
Has anyone used this?

I've never used this or any other harness because my big Bear didn't feel it- even when I pulled and tugged as hard as I could. I would be interested in hearing success stories too though.

I guess the lead connects to the front, like the gentle leader. Or maybe I dreamt it.  ???  :D I'm going to do a google search and see if there are any reviews.

I found it and it does go under the armpits...conn ects from the front. This one is made by gentle leader but it goes by the name of "easy walk harness". They SAY it will deter them from acting like sled dogs. I took Lucas to the dog park last week and he pulled me all the way to the gate. It looked like I was water skiing but on dirt...very embarrassing.  :-[

Even though nothing else has worked yet I'm going to buy it anyway and try it. I'll let you all know how it works.

Tyler has a harness type thing I can't remeber the brand though but it's pretty much like a regular harness except you attach the leash to the front ring.  Even I can walk him when he has it on and he has 50 lbs on me.  it pretty much has a band across the chest and a strap that goes around his torso.  I'll try to find out what brand it is for you but it works really well with him.

Ok found it here's a link:

It works very well on Tyler the nard.
