Make sure you browbeat him about your experience with big dogs and all involved in their care whereas others may not have the same experience.  I'm rooting for you.  Go get him.

Not to mention nefarious uses others might have for a large dog whereas you want a pet...  Good luck!

Any updates? (If there's another post and I missed it, can someone direct me to it? Thanks)

Hey guys...Sorry I've been MIA, but I've been fighting a NASTY case of strep throat, sniffles, and an ear infection.   :-[ I sent a follow-up email to Meatball's current owners to see if he is still available for adoption and to see if I can come visit.  I'll keep you posted.

I'm semi-happy to report that Meatball has found another home.  I guess it wasn't meant to be and I'm sad about it, but everything happens for a reason.  Maybe there will be another rescue in my future soon.

Hang in there! The right dog will come along for you. If it was meant to be it will be!
