Wow thanks everyone for the warm welcome what a wonderful board!

I love all the pictures of everyones furbabies, they are all so beautiful.

I will post more pics as soon as I get some edited.  Right now most of them are too large to post and I hadnt gotten around to cropping them down yet. LOL
I cant believe I didnt find this place before now. <G>

Im posting this for someone else, I hope thats allowed.
If not please let me know and I will have her join the forum.

Terri in Ramona, CA (San Diego County) has an almost 8yr old Anatolian named Harley who is a really beautiful dog.

She has been trying to place him for several months due to the fact they are moving to Oregon and she feels due to his joints he would be better off down here in the warmer weather.
She has tried and tried but several of the rescues feel hes too old for them to try to place.

He has his daily meds which some might not want to take on.. his daily Deramax (to help with the daily aches and pains), and his joint supplements.  Having had both ACL's replaced...

He remains active and loves being outside.
He is a great watchdog.
He needs a home where he is the only dog or where someone who is familiar with the breed would be willing to work to introduce him to a more submissive dog.
And he needs room to exercise.
Im not sure about kids or cats but Terri could fill you in.

You can contact Terri at:

te123@aol.com

or contact me at:

LunaXDiablo@aol.com

Any help would be appreciated on this.  Or even a foster home for him until he could be placed.

Thanks!

Just introducing myself.  My name is Cricket and I live in So Cal and was delighted to find a forum to celebrate the big dogs.   ;D

Ive been a big dog lover all my life and although Ive owned smaller breeds, the big boys and girls always have been a special part of my life.

I've owned several large breed purebred and mixed breed dogs and currently reside with, a big pawed, wonderful large wolf mix who is getting grey in the muzzle but stays young at heart.

Gabriel is my furbaby and a huge part of our family.
We've recently acquired a smaller friend for him.
Her name is Gretal and shes a Pom/German Spitz mix, who we've dubbed Gabriel's mini-me (if he wasn't fixed I would begin to wonder) and she's fitting into the family with no problems whatsoever.
We love them both and spoil them rotten. LOL

Have a great weekend everybody :)
