Well, I had to take a pregnant stray cat into the Humane Society today...It broke my heart but after our new Pyr girl comes we have to have our complete furry family...There is simply no room at the inn for anymore cats.
Anyway, Idecided in my infinite stupidity that Sam would love to come along because he loves to go to the shelter & see his fans there...lol...
O.k...so I am juggling a cat in a carrier, 2 skin kids & Sam...No problem...I'll enlist the kids to help with kitty & I'll handle the beast...lol...
We get there no problems in the Durango I borrowed for the trip...Sam stays in back, kids in back seat, & kitty on passenger seat in carrier...We get out...I snap Sam's leash on & have my 8 yr. old grab the kitty in carrier...no problems...We get inside the lobby & there are 3 shelter workers, 2 volunteers, 4 girls & a young child adopting 2 ferrets, 2 ladies with 3 cats carriers with 2 cats apiece in them, the Director of the shelter, her 2 dogs,, &, in the middle of all of this, Sams's trainer comes in & stops to see Sammy...lol...
Sam was AWESOME!!!...He styaed sitting or lying by my side most of the time & his trainer kept saying "GGGOOOOOOOOOOO
ODDDDDDDDDDDDD
DDD BOY SAM"!...lol...Twice he tried to investigate the dogs there & went & sniffed the little girl but came right back & sat when asked to do so...It was pandamonium in there & he was AWESOME!!!!!!!!...I wish I could say the same for my 8 yr. old son...lol..Any
way, I was SO very proud of Sammy today!!!!
