Newfoundland Discussions / Pictures of Shelby @ 9 months
« on: February 19, 2006, 02:31:09 pm »
Thought I'd post some pictures of Shelby now at nine months, although the snow pic was from last Nov!

She's growing fast and we're learning alot...

Things like; We can't leave the soda on the floor in the kitchen.  If you do, it makes for a terrific time filler for her while you're out.  Came home to a whole case of cans "popped" all over a light grey carpet!  She had a blast, no pun intended!

Also, always close the shower door.  There are cool things like shaving cream in there that are almost as much fun as soda cans!  The shampoo isn't nearly as much fun as the shaving cream though, just oozes when you bite it.

We've learned that she can also be incredibly gentle with her mouth; fetching eggs from the chickens before mom can get to them will earn you a tasty treat you must first carry to the deck, deposit, and then step on to crack.  I guess the eggs don't fizz enough to pop open, your paw works better?   ???

Anyhow, we love her!  Newf's are not for everyone, but for those of us who love them, they are priceless!

Newfoundland Discussions / Puppy play

My son's golden retriever "Tango" is super tolerant of this playful pup!

He holds a soft toy in front of her to play tug of war so she doesn't use him!  I snapped some photos.  She's almost as big as he is at only 5 months!  It won't be long before he's being tossed about at the end of the toy. :D

Any other puppy play snapshots out there to share??

Introduce Yourself to the Forum / Glad I found this!

;D  I'm new here and really glad I found it!

We have a four month old furbaby -  "Shelby".  She has been a giant puppy and loads of fun.  I can't wait to do water dog training with her.  She absolutely loves the water... must sit IN it to take a drink.  That's comical until she comes to share after!  It's ok though, we love her.

This site has already given me some new knowledge - Thanks all!
