Hi everyone,
You might be familiar with our Big Paw Pedia as Jaime and I have been building profiles on each breed. We now want to add a section on each breed that describes a personal experience from actual owners – much like a “User Review” found on Amazon but a more personal experience based on your relationship with this breed. If you would like to contribute to this section, just simply write something about your breed that is wholly based on your feelings and experience with your dog. We can have more than one submission per breed and it can be as long or as short as you want it to be. Although not necessary, a picture of your dog would be a nice little inclusion by the post. If you would like to help post to these profiles, write your review and send it to info@bigpawsonly.com . Likewise, if you have a question or need other help send that to info@bigpawsonly.com or simply post here.
You can use any format you would like, but here are some questions to get you started.
What do you enjoy most about your breed?
What have you noticed that stands out or is different about your breed?
A memorable experience you had with your dog – indifferent to breed.
What would you suggest to others who considered your breed?
Let us know if you have any questions!

What a great idea!!! There are so many breeds that I have never heard of and have no knowledge about...and now there is a place to get answers!! And from people who actually live with them and love them! You guys are genuises ;D!

Oh I love it too.. I always wonder what certain breeds look like and this is a quick and easy way to check them out. We just need more pictures.

We need everything from every breed. And Rose....you never need to ask if we need Henry stuff....I love him so the more you can share about him the better. He is secretly my dog-crush. ;D

I sent mine in for boxers. I could do one for chihuahuas too but they are a tiny paw lol

While adding these owner reviews can you fix the Vizsla breed profile where it says they are used for herding :)
It should read more....
The Vizsla is a multi-purpose hunting dog used on both fur and feather.

I'll try to do one about Tibetan Mastiffs soon. I've only had Flynn a few months but I seem to be the only TM mommy here. :)
And I can do you ones for the Shar-Pei and Chow Chow too!

Thank you Jamie and Michael for using Kiah's picture for the great pyrenees information. That's a great picture of her and true to the breed. They like to get dirty! :)

Good stuff. CSS based layout is the way to go, unfortunately you'll be turning cartwheels trying to get everything just as you would like it in IE!!

When I go to Big Paw Pedia I get an error on the page and do not get any information? I wanted to check it out and maybe leave some information regarding Flat Coated Retrievers.
What am I doing wrong? this web site is giving me a complex - I haven't been able to get Harley's picture on my profile yet either.
But you would think clicking on Big Paw Pedia would be easy enough.

Hey everyone, I need more entries and pictures! I've only received one!
Just to clarify guys and gals, we don't need any breed details, but personal details between you and your breed. Here is an example of the "one" I got but was a great account:
What I enjoy most about the Bluetick Coonhound is their Voice. They are very talkative or at least they think they are talking to you. They watch everything going on in your neighborhood and tell you about it. You’ve probably never seen more expressive eyes on a dog
Blueticks have a very keen sense of smell. Every once in a while I’ll forget about a milkbone that I’ve laid down on top of the hutch. They will let you know about it. If you need an attentive dog they are for you. They tend to drool and bark a lot so be prepared for that.
taijinrr, I'd rather not copy another website if possible - also the details on your site are great - and should stay there as your original content.

I totaly agree with Vdog here. The Vizsla is known for being versatile at both hunting and at home. So sweet that you used Austin's picture of the day we visited his Mom & Dad! I wish I could see the whole pic though, the Pedia page keeps kicking me off to re-register and wont let me on.

I went under Rottweiler because I knew there was an entry and I can see where the picture would be except there is a gray box over it that isn't allowing me to see anything - can I delete myself from the site entirely and try again? I have been having alot of problems ???

It's kind of funky. This is what works for me. Pull the scroll bar all the way to the right. Then maximize the window. If it still doesn't work, minimize and maximize it a few more times :)

You guys are too funny trying your hardest to make my messed up css programming work - I promise to have it done by the weekend. I've just been trying to get our new blog finished before we send out our monthly newsletter. I'll also have the pictures posted and/or updated - thanks everyone for contributing - they'll be up by the weekend as well.
