Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...
After a possible dog attack - not sure..Dean, my daughters sugarglider died from internal injuries...we will miss him very much :'(

Oh, I'm so sorry. :( The little ones can steal our hearts just as much as the big ones.
Rest easy little Dean...

Thank you everyone....it is hard and my daughter didn't even want to get out of bed this morning....I am also so verysad

AW! Don't make her get out of bed! Let her mourn little Dean as long as she needs to. I think that it is so precious to be attached to ALL living things, not just the more obvious ones like dogs and cats. You've taught her well, congratulation s! You raised a compassionate, caring wonderful girl and in this sad time you can remember that!
I'm thinking of you! (And your daughter!)

I'm so sorry for your loss.

So very sad...I extend my sincerest condolences to both you & your daughter....It might help your daughter to feel she has some part & control in Dean's passing to let her make a memorial of some sort & put it in the yard.

Great idea, Gyps! I think that totally helps the grieving and mourning process for a kid. Its like, an opportunity to do something constructive during a time of sadness. You're so smart, Gyps!

Skylar is going to make a memorial website - I think. She is doing better today. Went to go buy mor glider toys for her other four gliders. The brother to Dean, Ringo, we are watching for signs of depression. Sky has moved him into the big cage with the girls - I am sure he will drown his saddness in spending time with the lady gliders.
