Lily got certified as a Therapy Dog through TDI!!! It has been a long year of waiting for her first birthday and now we are too excited and can't wait to start our visits  ;D

Medical Conditions & Diseases / My poor girl is sick!

She tested positive for Lymes! :'( She doesn't have any signs of stiffness or pain. She doesn't behave any different but she did loose 4 lb in the past couple of months which made me worry. The Vet put her on 3 a day for a month atibiotics.
I don't know what to expect!? I know it is easily treatable for some dogs and fatal to others. Do any of you have any experience with the disease or suggestions regarding treatment and diet? Thank you for any input!

Ok guys, Lily got her pool and I got some pictures! I have to tell you, since we got it she has not been on a walk yet. All she does is stays in the pool and then sleeps by the pool...and so on

My friend just adopted a dog from a shelter. She found out that he has whip worms. We had invited her over on Monday and I am not sure if it is safe for Lily to play with the dog. Does anyone know how contagious they are?

I was wondering how many of you brush your dogs teeth and how often? Also, if you don't, what treats to you use to get their teeth cleaned.

I have tried to clean Lily's teeth using various brushes she was not too thrilled. Since she is getting raw bones her teeth are really not that bad BUT she does have some plaque bilt-up every now and then. I bought a professional plaque remover and clean her teeth every three months or so but I would definitely rather do it less

He needs a home. He is house broken and well trained and 10 months old. He needs to be socialized a little more. He needs a home with someone experienced in training dogs or experienced with this breed. He is adorable and I really need to find him a home. If not than you can visit him at the humane society.

I found this post today and unfortunately it is 5 min away from me. My heart is breaking...She is not even two and already had puppies! And of course they are moving and can't take her! Nasty people. I think I am going to look at her...I am going insane

I have found these weird spot on Lily's elbow. At first I thought it was just dirty but when I looked closer I realized it's not. It has brown flaky skin on the bottom of every hair. It doesn't look like a hot spot nor like allergy. I have never seen anything like these before. Have you???

Does anyone know how to recognize Lyme's tick bite? I have been removing ticks from Lily every now and then and today (for the first time) I have noticed that the areas where the ticks were had a big red circle and the middle of it is kind of infected (just a little bit). Usually, I use the "ticked off" and I can feel a little bump but that's it. I am worrying!!!
