Even though he is incredibly gorgeous, I don't think Connor is a very well bred dane, and being so fined boned it's hard to tell his age.
I am concerned that he is so clumsy, wobblers can present itself that way. I would have him checked out.
Funny that you should say that about the bad breeding... he was found in an area of town that is
extremely sketchy and known for the kind of breeders who sell their dogs for outrageous prices along the side of the road.
This area has a HUGE problem with irresponsible/backyard breeding. It's awful. Interestingly every dog for sale on the side of the road comes from "champion bloodlines". (Yeah right.)
I will have him checked out for wobblers when he goes for his cherry eye surgery. Thanks for the tip.
As far as him being lost/stolen/etc, I am suspicious of whoever had him before because his eye condition should have been taken care of by now if he were in the hands of a responsible owner (in my opinion). We have been trying to figure out his story since the moment we met him. I am looking forward to a long discussion with my veterinarian about the eyes and why someone might not have had the surgery done yet.
We like him quite a bit so far even though he is a heathen!!!!
