Scared for my rottie
« on: January 10, 2006, 02:20:33 am »
Rajah, that is her in the avatar, is  having bowel and kindey issues. She is almost 10 1/2 y/o and has except for some minor stiffness been in great health. Over the last 2 weeks she has began to have more and more issues with large stools dropped without any indication of needing to go potty and huge amounts of pee again with no warning. The stools go from solid to soft and the pee is bright yellow and stinks.
We will have her in the vets this weekend to be checked out and I am scared that she is going downhill very fast.
My pointer have  roughly the same problem for almost a year before he left us in 1997 after 14 years. But this is like 10 times worst the Toby ever was.
I have in the last 15 moths sent to of my babies to the rainbow bridge, Bear and Phoebe, and don't want to go throught that again,
She is my love and my friend, Almost evey night she has been on my bed or at the foor of it. i am scared of losing her and while I am playing Mr Calm and Collected for my wife my guts are being torn apart.
Please pray for a healing of Rajah i need her for a couple of more years.
Thanks for neing there to listen to my venting.

Of course we'll be thinking of you in this time of need.  It's hard to see our friends suffer.

I'm so sorry to hear Rajah is having problems. Please let us know what the vet says and I will be praying for her.

On a side note: My friend also has a rottie named Rajah. She is a certified therapy dog.

Sending our love to Rajah in hopes that she will be strong and live a much longer life.

FYI - I changed the Avatar that is Ozzie my Pyrenees. I need a group photo so i don't kept changing it.

Found out yesterday from the vet that Rajah has the following issues:

An infection in her right front paw with a possible tumor there but we have to wait and see after the infection clears up.

A major bladder infection. That is why she was have pee accidents in the house and the urine stunk so badly.

A very high white cell count whic maybe from the infections, or something else. Again we have to get the infections cleared up

So i have a guarded optimism until we get an clearf or have a complete clear understandinng of any issues she has.
