terrible news from nickerbokker....

well.....i have been working on the costumes since 11pm last night...it is now 3:30 in the morning....and i just now finished the first one.

i must say....for not picking up a needle and thread since i was 5...im doing a damn fine job....

but the bad news is i only have ONE done after 4 hours...and it was the easy dog!

p.s...i lied....its not a good job...it doesn't look like i have been working for 4 hours!

anyway....im going to bed now....im hopin that when i wake up someone else will have finished the other outfit. 

and i pray, that i am making the right kind of enrty!  and that someone in my building has a digital camera LOL

okay.....goodn ite then!

on a last note....please be nice tomorrow and not tell me it looks like crap...becuase, afterall, my fingers are BLEEDING BAD

I'm a procrastinator who just wants to have fun, so I haven't even thought of what to dress them as.  I will pull things from everywhere and set up a scene and just photograph away.  At least, since they are cute already...how can I go too wrong?

That sucks Nicker!  I HATE sewing by hand which is why I have myself a stellar sewing machine that would finish it in 20 min   I'm feelin for ya right now!  I hate it when the actual work gets in the way of a great idea...

Your outfits will be beautiful and the boys will look great! I know that sewing sucks big time and hurting your fingers is even worse, but I am so proud of you for taking the plunge and doing it! You are the best for getting in there and making your own costume....suc h dedication!

Grounded...... . almost, hubby has tried his very hardest to keep me busy with other things, he has taken me to TWO baseball games in hmmmm a week or so, he took me out to eat, he invited people over, we had to go to a birthday party, and today he thought we were going to go to him mom hahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha hahaha yeah right. Does he not understand that I have to stay at home to figure out how to dress up my fury babies, evening wear for dogs just dont fall down on ones head. I am not going ANYWHERE today I am NOT NOT NOT (stomping my foot)

Too true!  I think my guy had better help me out with all this - I did my penance by helping him take pictures the other night for his Star Wars geek forum (Please note - him going online and talking to other Star Wars fans about Star Wars stuff is geeky.  Me going online and talking to other big dog parents about our big dogs is cool.  I don't know why it works this way, but it just does.)  He'd better start sewing!

When I was helping him take pictures of some Star Wars figurine the other night, it was like he was Ansel Adams or something.  He had to make a little backdrop for the figurine, the lighting had to be just right, etc.  I expect the same devotion out of him to Rangers glamour shots!

Funny note - as we are running around that night with cameras, props, special lighting, etc. all of a sudden he goes "We better close the front door, if the neighbors see us they will think we are doing amateur porn!"  I can't imagine what they might be thinking tonight!

Heh heh, too late - he is on his way to your door with all his figurines!  But it will probably won't be as scary as it will be mind-numbing....  "So,  Boba Fett is Django Fett's son?..."  Of course, I am sure that on some Star Wars board later tonight, he will be typing "Too late man, she is on her way to your house with eighteen hundred pictures of our dog!"

I think I need your bribery book!  Hey, at least your hubby is into something relatively adult.  During the picture taking, I kept asking him "HOW old are you?".  Which is exactly what he will be asking me tonight, as I dress up my doggy.

I think we can do another dress us session as a seperate event. This one is strictly the "evening wear" part of a beauty pageant. Even though I am no longer confident in Bear's ability to be crowned king (frown), I will so excited to get out and vote! We'll set up the official topic and voting on Monday.
