so Nikki is coming up on 8 months old now. in the last month, she's had (1) new set of owners - us, and (2) new homes. in the last week, she's become completely un-housebroken. peeing randomly everywhere except our bedroom/bathroom and having diarrhea all over our living room yesterday (which, i know, in no way, is her fault because of possible gastritis)

i'm re-using Cody's crate for her, but she refuses to hold even 1 iota of a second after being let out of the crate, randomly peeing in the hallway of our apartment, in the walkway of our complex, as well as the carpeted stairways of our complex. this morning, i saw her peeing and walking at the same time once out of the complex.

we tried to use wee wee pads, but it just became oral entertainment for her. ATM, i'm at a COMPLETE loss. how do you retrain an 8 months old 'puppy'? any advice MUCH appreciated as i'm running out of Costco paper towels this week...

why is it that i always read we shouldn't wash the dogs often, something to the effect of "bathing a dog too often can be bad for his skin because it strips off the protective oils" yada yada...

i mean.. once a week.. that seems like a lot... i've had this mental imagery of dog washing as a benefit for us owners, less so for the dogs themselves...

Salmon, flax seed oil, 500mg's Esther C, Glucosamine and Chondroitin, 2tbs plain yogurt, brewer's yeast, and garlic.
ehh.. there are quality kibbles that contain almost everything (except the yogurt & maybe garlic) mentioned in your kibble additives...

mmmm! mojitos... it's hard to make a good mojito tho.. you gotta crush the mint leaves just right...

while in puerto rico, i got hooked up cruzan rums... cruzan's coconut rum is more coconutty than malibu and packs a higher alcohol content..   ;D

ugh... i think we need to spay our saint soon (7 months now)... except her PO hasn't even given us the rabies tags yet so the city won't spay her at low cost... and of course i won't get the rabies tags yet because we just found out she didn't get her 2nd/3rd round of shots.. and now we need to start the shots all over....

this labour day weekend's damage report:
1 '62 austin mini cooper (an unfinished tamiya plastic car model which had taken me about 7 hrs to build so far)
1 pencil
1 CD
1 plant
1 roll of teepee
1 stack of post-its
1 toy rope

she only goes on the rampage when we're not around, so i had to keep her in the laundry room blocked by some boxes most of the weekend while we moved...

man, i really really HOPE she grows out of this (7 months old right now)

is everyone using corded or cordless dremels?

the cordless dremels have a weighty battery pack in the rear that may be a lil bit hard to maneuver, but the cordless have the fault of.. well, being corded...

my neighbors stole my rotary tool (generic name for dremel) recently, and i figure i should go buy another if not for the dogs, just so i can start cutting up stuff for my car project(s) again.
