Omigosh! My dad has this weird pleasure of finding old, embarrassing pictures of me (you know...think huge hair, tight-rolled jeans, and LOTS of hairspray) then displaying them in my house when he comes over to take care of the "boys."
Well, I came home to this one yesterday evening....Whi le still embarrassing (Ummmm....I won't even start on the slicked down hair), I thought it was a cute picture of me and my brother with our then 8 week old Golden Retriever! My mom and I still laugh at the fact that I HATED playing with dolls as a little girl, and always carried around a stuffed animal dog. But, I had to go through a lot of them because I usually destroyed them trying to "feed" them and "give them medicine" while playing vet. Ahh...so, here it is....one's a dog freak, always a dog freak!!!

That's so cute! It's really funny that I was drawn to the name of this thread... umm... I feel like I can relate to that! :D ;)

Awwww, I think that is just precious. :-* What an adorable picture!
Our cat-loving son carried a stuffed yellow tabby cat everywhere for years before we let him have a house kitty. Now we have 2 house cats that he adores (plus a few that share my husband's home office), but he still brings out his stuffed cat family sometimes. It's adorable. Oh & and when I was a kid I had a huge stuffed St. Bernard puppy. Ahhhh, first loves....... ;) ;D

That picture is precious. You were a cutie. At least your parents started you off right with a love for animals.

This looks like most of the pictures in our family album. Every time I flip through it I tell my husband "I didn't get my love of animals from anyplace strange!". I think the only pictures of my dad as a child without a critter in his lap were the ones taken at school, lol....and there are very few of me without our Irish Setter that I grew up with.
It's a wonderful childhood quality to hang onto throughout your life, isn't it?? Aren't you proud? I am!
