My guys love the water so twice a week we go to this pond around the street so they can have fun. Its great for them now that the temp is up in the 100's but poor me it's so hot.

Puck is not a good swimmer--kinda built like a tank,LOLi

What a crowd you have there! They look like they had such a great time swimming and playing together. ;D

I've heard stories 'bout Danes that loved the water, never thought I'd see the day though. Lucy loves the beach, hates the water.
I did take her rafting once though, wish I'd gotten some pictures of that!

They have never been to the beach, I'd love to take them there but it's about two hours away. I think that that moving water and standing water might be different and I think that they might not like the beach but maybe I'll try it one day. they have two kiddie pools in the back yard that Hershie and Thor love to lay in. Hershie will even take toys in there and sit and chew on them in the water. When it rains they love to run around the yard and play in it and I even saw Hershie laying on top of the dog house one day while it was raining but they all hate baths.

That is so great!!..I wish there was somewhere like that I could take my puppers!...It would have to be totally fenced in though...If not I would loose Samson for sure! :(

Ohhhh the pics are great. What a crowd you have there, Hmmmmm I used to have danes BUT they were not too impressed by water, a kiddie pool to cool the feet off in was about as much water they could take lol.....
How far away is this pond from where you live? I sooooo wish we had something like this here. After a few months on this board, I am getting more and more conviced that I really should live somewhere else, I keep getting jealous hehe

I LOVE seeing Danes swimming. I took Sanity to a dog picnic once at this awesome place that made a huge pond just for their dogs. He wouldn't go in for the life of him, until he leaned agianst my bad knee in just the right spot, making me fall into the water. Then he loved it :-\

the pond is about 10 minutes from my house and it takes me about 15 minytes to get everyone in the back of the truck. They love the water so we try to go once or twice a week. Thax for the comments on Toester she's my first and favorite.

oh those are great pics...your danes are beautiful.... Willow got to go to the beach...she didn't pay to much attention to the water but loves to dig in the wet sand. I think she was tring to spell her name...lol Irie, my female pom, loves the ocean and the sand..Gunner, my male pom, dosen't care either way and would rather not be dirty....

Kimiko, love the pic of the brindle dane. Of course I'm partial to them. The closest dog beach is closed for the summer to dogs, but will open soon and we will be back. Keiko will go in up to her chest, but does not swim. Gunther took alot of coaxing before he would even go in up to his ankles. He will go in the shallow pools, but waves, even if only an inch high, are terrifying to him.
We have a "pond" not too far away, but it doesnt' have a shore. It has a ledge around the whole thing, but then drops off. Keiko will go in, and on the rare occasion swim. Gunther will go on the ledge, but quickly jump back out. He fell into the deeper part before he knew it dropped off, and I thought I would have to jump in to save him. He had a look of horror on his face as he flailed around to get his footing....... .......lol.... .......it was quite a sight to see. I don't have any good pics of him in the water at the pond b/c he is in and out so fast, but here's one of Keiko swimming towards some ducks.
