Hi, my dog is 1/2 great pyrenees and 1/2 australian shepherd and I wanted to get him a playmate so he won't feel so lonely when I'm at work. Any suggestions on breeds that would be big enough to romp around with him and would not be aggressive? :)

Another Pyr!!

Yeah, there's something about them. Even though they go out of their way to ignore us sometime, they're irresistable and I've never had a dog that was so different or one so stubburn. ;)

Another Pyr is a good idea. Did you get him a playmate yet? And what did you get?

The ignoring is the butt head stage and the stubborness is just being a Pyr. Have you considered a Newf or a Newf mix? Another Pyr would be good, they are a bit addicting. You could also do a Dane - but I would only suggest a Dane if it were the opposite sex. Long story- if you need to know more on that subject, let me know. I would also think that a Saint or a Bernese Mountain dog would be a good mix. Do keep us updated on the final decision.

Having never owned a Pyr, I am a little biased, but I say get a Newfie!!
