I also need to track down Jackie this weekend.  She is a registered nurse and can work some horrendous hours so maybe that is why she hasn't responded.  Have you tried her phone yet?

My friend hurriedly placed this dog without thoughts as to whether it would be a good match so it may not work out.  The dog is VERY timid and shuffling her around to inexperienced dog people was not a good thought.  GEEEZ  At least the person she placed her with is basically kind but frustrated that she didn't come out of her shyness is just 3 days!!  Poor baby!

You know she has a home here...just got to get her here if it doesn't work out.  I hope the lady is willing to learn how to interact with the baby and not just "throw her away".  Keep us informed...

If it doesn't work out (which I hope it does) I'm still willing to help transport south.

If someone in the south is looking for a pyr-esque dog there is this big amazing dog on petfinder who they think is an Irish Wolfhound/Pyr mix... super handsome... I'm just saying, he could use a home for sure!

Thanks I will forward her the links, she lost her Samoyed to diabetes and loved him dearly, she has a bloodhound mix that needs a friend desperately.

Just a little something to keep your mind off those other things.  ;) I should have posted "Cricket do not read this"

I'm with Cricket on this one.  This is torture looking at all these great Pyrs needing homes!  I desperately want another Pyr but have insisted to myself that I wait until some of my old dogs are gone, particularly the old gal.  She's going down hill slowly but steadily and is finding our current pup a bit much to handle at times.   THere's one Pyr that our local group has that I tried to get a few years ago but they didn't want her going to work as an LGD.  Now they seem ready to let her go to an LGD situation.  If she's still there when I'm ready, I've got my eye on her!  If not, I'm sure there will be another Pyr out there looking for us like we will be looking for them.
