The boat ride was FREEXING....th e dogs wanted to sit in our laps...but while we were there, it was cold too..but not too bad.  The hubby (as usual) didn't listen to me and bring a jacket,....and from the picks you can see he is freezing.  The sand just stuck right on the lips...i am glad i brought a full sized towel with me, he "gooped" me with his drool and sand, and cookie all in one!! IT was sooo gross...but hey...drool happens!  It was fun, i think i enjoyed watching the dogs the most, that was the point of going, but the hub didn't have that much fun..he froze.  I enjoyed taking pics, and catching the dogs off guard.

Titan loves baths..but...w hen it comes to ponds and oceans he doesn't like it....we have had two bad experiences, the first he was 5 months old and he fell through ice - luckily i had his leash...but he wouldn't listen to me and i couldn't pull him fast enough, it was one step and in he went...the second time was over this summer.  He was heeling and so focused on me he went right into the water and didn't seem to realize it.  He did GREAT!!! I was so proud of him, his first swimming and he did with flying colors..BUT... then he saw a rock with the water bobbing over it, just as he saw the rock, a super loud boat took off behind him...and he associated the rock with noise..and that was the end of that.  To this day he will not look at rocks...he turns his head, licks his nose, and will even run backwards.  After that day, he gets sketched out by leaves, seaweed, and trash too....i just don't get it, we work with him all the time with it!!! We have huge rocks in our yard and he is fine...just not 'stranger' rocks lol  ::)  But with waves...yeah he is definily not keen on water choosing to get him wet....(although i can not get him out of the tub ever! In all hotel rooms, that is where he stays, he loves tubs for some reason! lol  ::) )

Titan has two hygroma's which are caused by repeated trama to the joint...basica lly a pressure sore when he lies down. He does have a bed and soft surface to lye on, but...when we moved into our house there is something wrong with the floor...our knees and feet killed us for 3 weeks after we moved in...i believe his hygroma's are caused by the  same thing that we suffered.  They can drain them, although many and most of the time they get dysplasia from draining them.  It is the body's protector.  It is no hereditary, and is not a fault, it is something that many mastiffs have, when he is older they will go away, it will just take time....it has been over a year now! :(
