Supplements question?

I know we had a post about this sometime ago, but I cant find it.
I have been buying canine specific joint supps and oils and paying the jacked up prices too.
I was picking up some glucosamine for my elderly neighbor when I remembered that post(yes, I think of you guys when away from the puter too..lol!).

What supplements do you give your pets that you buy in the vitamin stores?  can our pups be given our probiotics?

What brand of probiotics do you all use for your dogs?  How do you dose them?

I work for a gastroenterolo gist so I can get all of the people probiotics I want for free but I'd have no idea if I could use them for the dogs or not.

I've been told about the glucosimine and the Vitamin supplements.  Grace was on calcium or vitamin D for a long time.  she refuses to take them now.  I'm considering getting her on the supplements again soon though.  the vet says to get the generic ones and use enough to get to the recommended doses.
