at 14 weeks...my saint weighed about 15lbs LOL...but he has issues...so you can't go off his weight!
i say 170lbs! what do we win?
-
I don't have either but I do have a Newf that weighed 32 lbs. at 12 weeks. He is now 2.5 years old and 160 lbs. of pure love!
-
Galahad was a little shy of 60 lbs when he was 14 weeks, he is an OEM and will probably land somewhere around 200-220 lbs.
Since it is bloodhound in him, hmmmm his feet and legs, hmmmm thinking, thinking :P maybe somewhere around 150 or so.

That be a lot of dog!
-
When Zoey was that age, she weighed about 35lbs and gained around 3lbs a week. She's 100 now at a year old and we're expecting another 50-60
-
Oops I forgot to put his picture!
-
Just in case anyone was wondering how cute my puppy is these days, here are some new pictures. He weighs 45 lbs now.
-
Doghealer, I was SO wondering how cute your puppy is these days! ;D
In these two latest pics, you can really see the bloodhound in him. Love those wrinkly worried eyebrows! He looks like a real sweetie....

My Rottweiler puppy was 17 lbs at 10 weeks
23 lbs at 13 weeks
by 4 mos she had 10 lbs for each month. 40 lbs
50 at 5 mos, and so on and so forth until about 10 months.
at 11 months, she is 90 lbs and seems to have slowed down. THANK GOD.
She is a hair over 24 at the shoulder.
I expect she matures somewhere very close to 100 lbs.
I expect your pup will end up in the 90 - 100 lbs range.
-
I was wondering the same thing. How big my OEM Zoe will get. She is 10 weeks and 27lbs. Her mother was 205lbs and her father was 245lbs. I am wondering if she is small for an OEM at this age or is she on track?
-
I would urge you not to wish for huge. Some of those dogs have terrible problems. It hurts sometimes to even watch the Mastiff ring.
:(
What is important is to feed your puppy a healthy diet that will not cause her to grow TOO fast. I am not familiar with your breed, but we never recommend puppy food for Rotties because we want slow steady consistent growth that encourages healthy joints.
Keep your pup on the lean side, keep her in good fit condition, and when she is about 3, weigh her.
;)
-
Thanks, when my vet checked her out two weeks ago he said it was better for her joints if we kept her lean. We are feeding her Eukanuba(I hope I spelled it correctly) Large breed puppy food three times a day at about 2 cups of food per serving. Our vet said that this food and amount was ok for her breed. He would like her to be lean until she is about 2 1/2 or 3. Thanks for the advice
-
Best of luck with her, you will have to supply us with lots of photos.
:D

sleepy babies! ::) awh!

Doghealer,
Your little one looks so much like Apollo did when he was a pup, the only difference is the ears. (I see the coon in them! ;D)
Apollo is 20 months (well, will be in 3 days, but hey, close enough!) and he weighs in at 140.5lbs. I have noticed that he slimmed down recently, but his legs are getting longer, so I think we're in the midst of a late growth spurt. (oh yeah!) I haven't measured his height lately, will have to do that tonight. The pic in my avatar was taken 3 months ago.
I would say that your pup shows every indication of topping the 140 mark, maybe even larger. Great advice was given, watch his feeding habits closely, weight should stay proporionate to his height.
Have fun watching him grow, and I hope to see oodles of pics!!!
-
I don't believe that either. Lady was 40 pounds at 4 months and is almost 100 pounds at 11 months.
-
Don't know about that formula, Rebekah, but I do know that BOTH your pups are the CUTEST THINGS EVER! Man! I am just having puppy FEVER!!!!! I can't WAIT until I can get a pup-a-roo of my own! But, for now, all of the cute puppy pictures kind of make up for it. Thanks!
-
Zero was 64 lbs at 17 weeks...So I will use 60 lbs...that would bring him to 144 when full grown. He is 8.5 months and maybe 105 now..Havent weighed him. I am curious too
-
I don't know if I believe the 4 month thing. At four months, Zoey was about 42lbs. At 13 months, she weights 113, so she is bigger whether you go by the x2 theory (84lbs) or the x2.5 theory (106lbs). And she's still growing, so even if you did times 3 I still don't think that would be enough...
-
I think the 2 or maybe more so the 2.5 times what they weigh when they are 4 months can work real well on a large dog. I think the giants might be harder to estimate that way. They grow so fast at first then slow down, but grow for a long long time. Take OEM's as an example, I think 60 to 65 lbs when they are 4 monts is kinda correct, that would make them 150 to 160-165 lbs as fully grown, but most OEM's are way closer to 200 than that, and a lot of them quite a bit over 200. But when I do the estimation on the large but not giant dogs I have had, I can see that it is probably not too far off.

God, he's such a mutt!!!
-
Look how handsome and strong he is growing up! Man, his face in that third picture is ALL Bloodhound.
-
Well whoever taught me how to post pictures created a monster. Dog photos are my favorite thing. Here are updated Nigel pictures since I haven't posted any of him in like 2 days.
He is almost 7 months now, and 67 lbs. He is still very clumsy and has feet that look way too big for him!
-
He is a beautiful big boy! Never apologize for pictures, we live for them.

I love the pics!!!...I could be very addicted to posting them too...I love seeing them turn up on my computer screen! :D
-
I never get tired of picture. I like to see the hounds :)

I can tell everyone is really hungry for new pictures of Nigel.
He is 8 months old and 77 lbs. He seems like a monster now, and I am realizing he is going to keep growing until he is as big as me. It already hurts bad enough when he steps on me! And he has taken to sleeping on my pillow at night, no matter where my head is. I love this guy, the best way to describe him would be... "big turkey."
He is looking rather mastiff-like lately!
:D
-
Hi Nigel! Auntie Marsi loves you! ;D
-
LOOK AT THAT FACE!!!! How adorable, and soooo kissable! He's getting to be such a big boy! ;D

Hi there - my mastiff/lab mix weighed in at 17 pounds at 7 weeks. She is a year old and is at 130!
-
Hey guys, here's the latest update on Nigel and his growth! I am still fascinated by this whole thing.
His weight gain has slowed down a bit, no longer bringing in the 10 pounds a month like before!
He's 10 months old as of yesterday, and weighs 85 pounds. He measures about 26 or maybe 27 inches now at the shoulder. I find him very attractive... but I am biased!
Here's Nigel, still a puppy in his behaviour for sure!!! :D
-
. I find him very attractive...
I'm sorry this is all I can think of (I'm a perv I know)

Nigel is adorable. I just wanna grab his cute little face and say, "who's a good boy? who's a good boy?"
When I do that to our dog my husband asks, "Why don't you do that to me?"
Maybe because I already know the answer.
;)
