Yeah, I read all of that stuff, and it doesn't sound to me like they are euthanizing anyone's dogs. It sounds as if the only way an OWNED dog will be euthanized is if the owner chooses to disobey the public dog walking laws.

I mean, I'd still be careful about Sophie, but it sounds like its not as dramatic as it seems.

Thanks Rachel, that makes me feel better that they aren't doing a mass murder of all these dogs  :)

I thought thats what they were going to do too.  I think that they maybe ammended the law.  I just remember all the outraiged people on the dog boards talking about how they were going to take all the pits.

Just a thought, if it turns out that you need some kind of proof that its not a pit, and are planning on visiting frequently, it might be worth while to take a DNA that way you have the proof and will never have to worry again.

Hopefully you'll be able to take her without problems. I know the city I live in has a problem with fighting pittbulls. There's not a ban. Although if the humane society gets them they euthanize them no questions asked unless their microchipped or registered.

Thanks Marit that might be worth looking into.

Kiah - I hope I don't have any problems. But if I do have problems getting her in then I will board her right over the US line.

Now I hope I said- No I speak very little French. My daughter speaks more French than me. If that is not what that means sorry if I offended anyone. It has been a while....ha... ha

well that settles that!
I didn't know where the French lived as opposed to the English speaking canadians lived.   BUT i knew there was a difference.

that's pretty cool.  I should have paid more attention in my foreign language classes.  I could really use that Spanish around here these days.
