Breed Specific Legislation
« on: October 13, 2005, 02:42:18 am »
He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire.

She is pregnant.

The firefighter was afraid of her at first, because he had never been around a Doberman before.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The Observer," noticed this red Doberman in the distance looking at the fireman.

He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her unborn babies, and kissed him, just as the photographer snapped this photograph.

I always love seeing that story and picture!  :D  Thanks Jackie.

It goes to show you why BSL should stand for Bubble Shibbit Legislation, not Breed Specific Legislation.
BPO does not have my permission to use my photos.

That is truly a wonderful story.  I was very disappointed to find out it is not true.   :P  I guess it was made up to entice warm fuzzies all around.

I actually like to ignore the truth and remember the tale told, as its a wonderful story.

Sorry if I took any warm fuzzies away from anybody.   :-\

[quote author=ZooCrew link=What ya mean it's not true.  I've been getting warm and fuzzy for months looking at that pic.  Is this one of those horrible urban legends that someone photoshopped?  I'm gonna cry.

Don't worry Tina, it's essentially true. It's a real picture, the fireman did put out a fire at the dog's house, and the dog did kiss him. The part that isn't true is that the fireman did not carry her out of the house (she got out herself) and he had no interaction with her before the kiss.
