Hello everyone, ;D
My name is Jonathan Smith and I have just about a week and a half until my "big paw" is delivered. I purchased a Cane Corso from very reputable breeder on the east coast that specializes in excellent temperment and "prey drive". The reason I chose those two attributes is because temperment is necessary around my wife, 2 year old son, and friends... and prey drive because i'd like to train Marco for protection work. We've had bad experiences in the past with some individuals so I'd like Marco, when he's more mature, to be watchful over my loved ones. :)
By the way, his full name will be Marco Ennio Ettore I.
I put a lot of thought into it, actually. Marco means "Warlike", Ennio means "Predestined/Favorite of God", and Ettore means "Defender". I thought I'd stick with all Italian since that what he is. lol :)
Anyway, like i said, he's not in my possession yet but I do have one picture that was sent to me. The flash reflected a lot off of his coat, so he looks like a little old puppy... lol at least I think he does.

Our resident kitty, Zoe, likes the two dogs we've got in the house now. They all play rough with each other. Hopefully she won't be too put off by a third poochie. lol

I have to find someone with a digital camera around here so I can get the entire family up for viewing pleasure. I could do it with my camera phone, but... the quality is horrible, so I'll just wait ::)
Good looking Pyr, by the way. The wife, when she lived on her old farm, had 12 of them at one point. They were great dogs to have on their 200 acre property. No one could get near the house without her knowing. lol

welcome! You're going to love it here :) you must be so excited! I remember what a hyper mess I was the last few days before lucca was delivered... But then next thing you know you already have your pup and the weeks start piling up :P would love to see more pictures when you can post them!

The camera phone will be just great to all of us. :D Heck! I don't even have a digital! OR a camera phone. :-\ I do it the Old, OLD fashioned way. Via Kodak Easy Share. :-[

I've already spent a lot of money, in my head, on crates, super-premium dog food/raw food, fancy collars and leashes, and feeder mice..lol just kidding about that last one.
Now I just have to shop around for a reputable trainer in the greater Phoenix valley to help build a good foundation for Marco.

Actually, I've never owned a reptile to be honest. LoL random stuff like that just pops in my head and I laugh...so I just posted it. :) I think it's all the meds the VA has me on. lol

Marco is absolutely adorable...wha t a face! May you enjoy every minute with him! I also really loved reading about the amount of thought you put into his special name. I spent so much time and made lists and researched and did all sorts of funny things to determine his name. In the end, he picked it when he arrived! :)
