Ringo is 9 years old . I have been wanting a large parrot (was actually looking for a macaw) for years (I get up with a blue and gold macaw and an african grey) and I found Ringo on hoobly.com . A lady had rescued him from a very abusive home where Ringo was actually HIT by a man . But unfortunetly , this ladies husband reminded Ringo of the previous owner and would attack him any time he came close to him .
So she wanted a home with no men but I mentioned that my husband is gone 2 weeks of each month on an oil rig , he has no interest in birds so he wouldn't care if the bird didn't like him and we ended up picking him up about a month later for a trial run .....
Ringo loves my husband more than ME ! I am so jealous ! LOL
And he loves the kids , when they get excited he gets extra excited ! He's never bitten anyone , he just wants to be loved !
The only thing he says so far is "WHAT ? WHAATTTTTTTT?
" LOL but Alot of U2's are not known to really talk until 12 years or older so we have time
