You guys are amazing!  I thought I walked a lot!  I mosy around with Eider for about 1/2 hr a day but sometimes DH walks him so I don't really count his walk.  He runs circles around me or swims while I mosy along.  Basically, that time is pretty laid back for me, high energy for him.  When I walk Carter and Katie, that is some serious walking!  LOL!  DH says it looks like I'm water skiing!  We go about 45 min though I'm not sure how far it is.  It is pretty fast though and I'm frequently breathing hard through it.  They're AWESOME walking partners and great motivation as well.  Katie starts looking for me at about 5 pm and I don't normally walk with her until 8 pm!  They'll both chew me out and make me feel so guilty if I don't walk them!

I really need to get off this prednisone in order to drop the weight I need to drop but I also need to stop eating so many bread/starch foods.  That's where I head when I'm not feeling great 'cuz they're easier but that makes me feel worse - vicious cycle.  More veggies!   ::)

Wow, everyone is doing great!  :)

I did 1hr on the elliptical in the AM, did my aerobic walking tape with my DD in the afternoon(2miles) and then did another 1/2 hr on the elliptical before supper.  Sadly it was pouring out last night so we didn't get a doggie walk in, but I'm going to cross my fingers that we get some dry weather today for it.

I can't wait to get a pedometer to see how far I actually go in a day.  :D

Keep up the good work everyone!

PS  Brandon, I've been wanting to start weight training but I have absolutely NO clue on how to go about it.  Any pointers?

I have done my 60 minutes on the treadmill for the day.  Currently I am doing 3 miles per hour at an incline of 4%.  It burns 415 calories.  If the weather stays below 100 I might even take the pups for a walk this evening.

I walked into the break room at lunch time to buy a white chocolate Twix.  Does that count?   ;D

Well, I did try to get one of my co-workers to piggy-back me there, but strangely enough, no one was up for it.

We did about 3 miles last night.  We took all 3 dogs at once.. I think we need to move our walking to night time or in the morning, poor Bava can't take this heat.

I know Sugar Bear is the same way with the heat.  I am a little worried about the heat on Saturday.  How did all three of your guys do walking together?
