Here are some pics I took tonight of the fawns and Sierra. She is such a good girl with them! We have to watch because she'll occasionally try to smack a paw on their backs to get them to play, but, other than that she is pretty gentle with them. Since we all agreed on Sable's name, Kelsey got to name her sister and chose the name Bella. Katie decided to wait and name the yet-unborn fawn from our other doe.
Sable has finally gotten the hang of drinking from the bottle and now it seems she can't get enough. No more force-feeding her!!! In the three days since she's been born, she has made GREAT progress. I'm no longer convinced she's not going to make it and I think she really has a chance. She's still a little skinny, but with the way she's eating it won't be long before she's a chubby little baby. She's still wobbly, which we are now thinking may be some sort of nervous disorder, but she is getting steadier and she's able to walk better.
Bella, on the other hand is still being stubborn about the bottle. She just lets it run out the sides of her mouth and get all over the place. Then she walks around crying and decided she was going to get milk out of poor Sierra if it took all night. Sierra just looked at me like "Mom. Some help here please." She was so good about it though. That's my sweet girl!
And no making fun of Sierra’s bad hair day! It’s just the newest venture in our quest to rid her of her itching. She got a dip to treat skin mites and the had to clip her hair real short so the solution would get to her skin. But in some of the pictures you can see how bad she is. You can see all of her bald spots.
Here is Bella and Cece:
Bella giving Katie's boyfriend, Justin a smooch.
Sierra "nursing" Bella.
And some of sisters Sable and Bella.

Modified to add: Here is a pick of my little man, Miracle, giving me smooch. If anyone remembers from last year, he's the one who ran off for two days when he was only a month old and then came back on his own.
