So this weekend was lots of fun. We went to L.A. and got to meet the Nickerbokker herself and her devil fur babies. The dogs took a little while to get along but in then end loved each other like we thought they would. My camera died (batteries) so I wasn't able to take many photos, but attached are a couple I took at the dog park.
Also, I have made a list of the top 10 things I learned about Ms. Nicki:
1. She is awesome and as funny in person as she is here.
2. She doesn't lie- Angus did try to eat Bear...luckily he was unsuccesful.
3. Codina is a never ending runner and stole other dog's toys...hence pertpetuating the label of devil himself.
4. Cody has got his little brother's back all the way. When Angus tried to eat Bear, Cody did too.
5. Nicki tried to make me leave Bear with her but I spoiled the kidnapping plot by never leaving them alone together.
6. Angus is the tiniest wanna-be Saint ever....I think the breeder just forged his birth certificate though.
7. Nicki loves her doggies soo much! She came prepared for the dog park with water and everything.
8. She drives like a crazy woman whizzing down the highway!
9. She may cuss like a truck driver but I couldn't have enjoyed her company more.
10. She is contagious! I can't wait to hang out again and play with her and her dogs!

Next stop, Washington! I thought about you both all day and I was hoping that Nicker got away with stealing Bear! I can't wait for you to come see me in Washington so you better get here soon. I already miss you and I haven't even seen you in person yet!!!! Loves to Bear, Angus and Codina!!! Oh ya and Nicker, Jaime and Michael!

How jealous am I? Not only do I want to meet Bear, Angus and Codina too, but I can't even TAKE my evil dog to a dog park! :'(

You know how people can be sooo different on a computer than they are in person? I kinda always pictured Nicker being a really quiet, shy librarian type in person since sh'e so..not, on here!!! Guess I was wrong wrong wrong!!
Glad you guys had a blast. If the bus ever comes to Maine let me know... though I'm going to be moving soon (if all goes well) so then you'll have to look for me in NH

You are so LUCKY to live near each other. I wonder if anyone is out here In the Pocono Mountains? This is a balloon's eye view off my hood. Does it look familiar? If it does than you must live by us!

I live in Maryland. Not tooo far from the poconos... We actually honeymooned up there. Its so beautiful. I think we need to have an East coast meet up. Maybe somewhere in southern PA.

There is Anita with her gang of Newfies; they live in Long Beach Island(LBI). She wounld be the one to know the dog freindly places and I am sure she and her pack of Newfs would love to join us!! ;D Has anyone heard from Anita lately?

hmm i don't think i've seen her but a pack of newfies would be so much fun. I started a new thread and posted a website that i just realized I had that lists dog parks.

Yeah Anita was a very active member. Under the Pictures of Newfs there are some of hers running on the beach down the Jersey Shore. She has mentioned having a home on the ocean and letting the dogs run like the wind before and after the "tourist season". LUCKY DOGS! I'll try to reach out to her and see what's up. She used to post regularly. I have also seen your latest new topic. I've already replied ;D

I reached out to Anita and her pack of Newfs by replying to her last post dated June 2nd titled Tri-colored Newfie. So she is still active but hasn't been around since last week! She must be livin' it up on LBI! 8)

That is really neat that you took the time to meet eachother, Jabear and Nicki. I bet the pups had a blast. Bear is so HUGE! He really does remind me of a bear. I can't get the photos out of my mind of Bear when he's pooped after camping.
I live in Washington State, too. :) Betti loooooves to play!
