: Dock of the bay.
: DixieSugarBear September 23, 2006, 03:03:02 PM
Well not the dock of the bay, but the dock of our lake. This is from yesterday afternoon.  It so hard to get them to all stay in the same place for a photo.

Lisa, those are great pictures!! Everyone is looking great! Is Penny barking or yawning in in the #5-Dock5 picture?

Well, you are definitely on the right track! In my pics, I'm lucky if I can get the dog's head, in the picture, looking at me, in the center, without grass sticking out of their mouth, drool on their face, rocks in their mouth, hay on their ears, being still, not panting, not barking, and just looking photo-worthy!!!!  :o Sheesh! How on earth do you do it again?!

LOLO, Take 50 shots and hope for one good one. Just to give you an ideas at the Atlanta dog show we took over 750 shots.

Take one hard head hubby, a big yellow dozer, someone telling him it would never hold water, and loads of time and your front yard can become a lake.  ::) It is man (hubby)made and stocked with fish.

That's my method as well!  Thank God for digital cameras!

#4 looks like a picture postcard, it is so peaceful.  Then there's #5 where it looks like Penny Lane is up to no good again!  The peace is probably in illusion with her around!

Those are great pics. You are so right about taking a lot of them. The dogs look like they are really content.

Being new to the board and not knowing a lot about any body, I have a question. There seems to be quite a bit of ground around. Do you have it all fenced? If not how do you keep the dogs close? Do they stay close to you when they are outside?

So far Lollie who is 8 months old will go with me and stay close when we walk in the pastures or along the creek. We live on a farm so until the snow comes we have several choices of places to walk.

The dogs are beautiful and your pics of them are great.

Skippy, We have 15 acs. fenced in. Yes it they were outside a fence they would be GONE in a flash.

Melissa, you know Penny Lane can bark, eat grass, pee, and make Dixie crazy all at the same time.

The 15acs. are great on everyday but the grass cutting day. It takes hubby 8 hours to cut it.

I find that so funny that people mow that much land ! Here we would let it grow and bale it for hay ! LOL

I love your pups!!! I also think its funny that people mow that much lawn, but you probably don't use a push mower for all that right,  ;). my family hardly had any then my parents decided to let my brothers burn it so they could put rocks in... :-\, I miss the lawn... :'( anyway, I love your photo's you have such a great eye... you take pictures like my mom, take tons, the keep the ones that turn out.  ;D

Well we use to not make sure that is stayed so short. After Rosie was bit by a snake I want to see anything on the grass so hubby keeps it very short for me.

Oh my gosh, they are so adorable. How do you keep that white fur so clean?

Oooh ,  a snake bite  :o I don't blame you then !

: DixieSugarBear September 27, 2006, 04:00:57 PM
It is that great self-cleaning pyr fur.  No joke after they have been in the lake I let them dry out and then just a quick brushing to get it out.
