My day began as always. Waking at 4:30 AM. (If not I find myself being 'stared' awake by four dark eyes. Silent. But intense.) Plug in the coffee pot. Pyrs wait patiently by the door. Coffee in one hand. Coupler lead in the other. We set out to greet the day. A nice long walk in the cool of the early morning air. Back in for Breakfast. (I'm luck if I get a piece of toast.) Back out for another walk. Then head to the barn. Groom "The Guys". Turn them out to pasture, and clean the stalls. OK. Now I 'think' I will attend to some much needed yard work. As I work intently around the back of the house, the Fur Babies have taken on a task of their own. Which was to totally and completely 'relandscape' the front! We seem to have two new tunnels dug to China. They look SO PROUD! Coats that were so lovely and clean this morning are now the color of the earth. I love my babies. All I could do was smile. And think once more of Catherine de la Cruz. An Icon in the Pyrenees World. So I thought I would share this with those of you who have not read it. :-*
