Samson will be 2 on July 23rd...We got him at almost 14 weeks...It's been along time coming & we thought it would never happen BUT Sammy Whammy LIFTED his leg tonight to pee!!!!!!!...I actually called my hubby who drives semi over the road when I knew he was sleeping to tell him & he was ESTATIC!!!!!!...lol...No more "launch position"...My 'little" boy is a man!!!!!!!! ;D

I wanted to call everyone but it was too late so I settled on waking my hubby up...lol!...I was so proud!...He just looked so "dogly"...lol!

I was so "relieved" to see that Ruck at almost 4 doesn't hike his leg, either. Einstein is still on the launch pad, but I kinda think maybe he figures it's risky to bend the hip-bones too much.

We were just discussing last night when Mr Jiggs would raise his leg! He has a teacher in Rollie, so I guess time will tell!
Samson thanks you all for the congrats on his becoming a man...lol...Ju st a note...Samson peed on the fence where a stray dog that had been coming around peed...I think he just finally realized he couldn't mark over the other dog without lifting leg...lol!

Congrats!!! I remember when Dibby lifted his leg for the first time. It was like a lightbulb went off in his head like " oh that is how you get the smell up that high on the tree" LOL I was so proud of my big boy.

This cracks me up. Congrats. Riley doesn't lift his leg. I think he'd fall over if he tried... poor uncoordinated guy. He doesn't really squat, either. He kind of leans forwards, barely bending his knees, and goes. I like it. I don't particularly want him to raise his leg, but if he does, okay. lol

2 years? Congratulation s! I never knew the time frame on this behavior...I guess its pretty broad huh? Luke just started lifting his leg a couple weeks ago(he's 9 months). It's funny watching them try to figure it out....he lifted his front paw several times before he did it right. Everyone got a kick out of that. :D

Ya...congrats!! But, just wait til he lifts it on your COUCH!!!!!!! Right after Mikey learned to lift his leg he did it to the couch...caught him red handed and he hasn't doen it since!!!!!!!! Actually, this first time he lift his leg was last summer by accident....di d it on his daddy's tackle box..the one with a canvas cover!!! Dan and I both had huge pike on the lines and no net, and K2, the scottish lass, was sitting right on top of the tackle box just like a throne, and there was Mike, lifting his leg on the box and HER!!!!!!! TEEEEEHEEEEEEE E!!! All we could do is laugh!
