LOLOL thanks guys! Last night I was so tired, I was whimpering along with Gossy. I slept in the living room with the two of them, and she cried until 3 in the morning. Badger was fit to be tied. I took her out of her crate at one point and put her in a tote with the lid off, DISASTER. She desperately tried to escape. Badger came over and tried kissing her to get her to calm down (I think that's what he was doing, it looked like he was doing what a mother would do.
On the way back to Vancouver, she kept scooching up next to the air vents, so at around 3:00 am, I grabbed a fan from the garage, threw a faux fur blanket (that WAS my favorite blanket) in her crate, put her in there, positioned the fan about 3 inches from her crate door, and SWEET RELIEF. She konked out as close to the fan as she could cram herself. Slept a few hours, cried to go outside.
UM I know it's a little late to ask, but um....so I won't be sleeping any time soon will I?
I'm so tired, I'm gonna go nap while she is now blissfully asleep, then I have to go to work (she and Badger are coming with us)then, hopefully later tonight I can come chat.
-
She is extremely adorable. Congrats!
-
She is stunning! What a beautiful pupper!
-
You guys are my doggy family. I am so glad to be part of this group. This puppy just has me running like crazy! No sleep, no rest, constant monitoring because Badger wants to make her go away.
I will be sort of on and off for a week or two. I'll catch up on all of your posts as soon as I have some decent time where I'm not catching up on sleep, watching so little teeth don't chew cords, or keeping Badger from sitting on her head (which he likes doing).
:D

Sorry to laugh at your pain but this is exactly why I try not to do puppies any more!!!! LOL! I just do NOT have the energy to keep up! Believe it or not, this too will pass and before you know it, she'll be sleeping through the night, doing all her business outside, and turning into an adult. Enjoy that puppy breath now and PLEASE try to figure out how to post some for those of us who are puppy breath deprived! Hope you can get some sleep soon so you'll have the energy to post some more pics for us! :D
-
So how is the bay Ronda? Are you ready for me to come for a visit?
-
Denise, she isn't a 'baby' she is the Debil! LOL just kidding.
Longshadowfarm s, you people are my FRIENDS you should have done an intervention on me or something. I went back through the threads and couldn't find a single solitary instance of anyone saying its better to get an adult dog. HAHAHAHAHAHA um that was just a bad joke, you don't have to laugh. I think the sleep deprivation is making me delirious! I hope hubby doesn't take this opportunity to finally have me commited, although I don't think he will do that since it would mean HE had to get up with her all night.
She slept for a few hours last night so I am sooooo happy. We had an employee quit last night (he'll prolly want his job back after the holiday weekend ;) ) so I have to fill in until he is replaced. This means carrying Gossy in a backpack while I clean carpet! I guess I could just let her run around on people's carpets as I clean them, then SUCK it up right quick if she makes a boo boo...OK soooo not gonna do that.
I was wondering if someone could like condense all the threads on a daily basis so I can get a 'summary' of all the goings on!? :)
OK my friends, I'm gonna try and post my as yet fav pic of Gosshawk.
-
OHHHH that worked, I resized it..can you guys see these pics?
I am falling in love with Nana Pookie all over again. He is being so patient. He is tormenting her, of course, but he is tolerating her antics very well. Last night he slept by her crate and I think it calmed her a little. He is my dear sweet big boy.
-
Really Ronda, I'm not stalking you ;) ;) ;). You just really need to share your shark with me. ;D
-
OK one more for the road!
-
LOL we can meet up in a few days, maybe a week (when we are both off for the day). We will have to hold Gossy the whole time though, because she is getting nosodes and she isn't well protected yet. Just a warning, she feels like she is made out of concrete. The breeder said they tend to be more 'dense' when they are on raw food. She isn't fat, she is just firmly packed!
You can hold her, I doubt you'll be able to make a run for it with her to have to carry!
-
I can't see the first one, but I see the one with him sniffing her backside ;) She looks TINY! I know it won't stay that way for long!
As for the intervention or lack of warning, I say, "Bah, humbug!" I've extolled the virtues of rescued dogs plenty of times. You have no excuse. :D That's ok. You young and/or energetic folks can take all the puppies out there while those of us who tend to move a little slower will go for the older puppers. It all works out in the long run ;) The only thing I do miss is that PUPPY BREATH!!!!

I LOVE the puppy breath. I'm totally inhaling it. Someone ought to make dog toothpaste that smells like puppy breath, I bet you could make millions!
:) I was SOOOO warned. I love her, she is a little love bug. She took a bath with me today, probably peed in my bathwater. :)
-
"aue de puppy pee" HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
-
You took a bath with her?...Awesome!!!...I never got to do that!...I wonder if my boys are too big now? :-\ ::) :D It sounds like she is just perfect!...Now you go take a bath with Badger so he doesn't feel left out! :D
-
She is so beautiful! I can't imagine NOT getting a puppy. But that whole new baby thing is just for the birds, no sleep, crying, piddles on the carpet, toosie-roll poopies...etc.
Good thing Nana Pookie is there...
-
look at that budgy little face. :) where's the kidnap list!!!!?

Denise lolol
Gyps,
When we got Pookie, he LOVED the bath. He would try and lean over the side, and one time, he fell in with me. He slid around, and I was laughing so hard I couldn't get ahold of him (he was about 40 pounds of wiggle). Badger isn't feeling left out, he is feeling 'put upon'.
Today was AWESOME! She barks! LOL when she is happy/excited she barks. And the ONLY way she will sleep is with a fan blowing on her (we'll work on that once she is sleeping more than 1 hour at a time)she is worth every minute of effort and every lost minute of sleep. She is responding to her name, going to the door when she wants to go out, and she is even sitting for her meals (she sorta has to with me holding it over her head :) )
OK this pic is of her trying to smell my girl parts. I squished her and figured it was a good photo op.
;D
-
Who could resist a mug like that? She's a beauty!
-
You need to take at least 1 picture every 4 hours so we can see her growth progress ;D
She is sooo adorable :-* :-* :-*
-
Congratulation s Ronda! Gossy is just the cutest EVER.... that face is so wrinkly awesome! And the "girl parts smelling" pic is a friggin' riot!
-
She is adorable!!!!
-
She is just the sweetest little puppy! I love her squashy bully head. Congratulation s.

Her mug makes her look like Bluto from Popeye. :)
-
Perhaps a bit off topic here....but why don't "Pookie" and his new little sister have profiles? I'd like to look at that cute little mug ALL the time!

LOL someone on here thought I was a man for a while because apparently I filled out my info with Pook's info. Um the short answer is that I don't know how to do the profile paw print thingy. I was thinking about tapping into my MASSIVE puter skills and doing one, but thought it would be better to wait till I'm not so puppysleep deprived.
Thanks for wanting to see them though!
;D :D

Gossy Mae Stinkerbutt is soo cute! I love her. :) I neeeed her. :)
-
Mel :) I miss you! Gossy is way too cute for my own good. I love her already. And the best part? She is a weirdo, so she TOTALLY fits in, AND she doesn't stink AT all!
I've started calling her Miss Thing
-
Rhonda, she is SO beautiful! You'd better sleep with 1 eye open, I might just puppy-nap her!Â
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I bet Badger loves her too! :-*

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I bet Badger loves her too! :-*
Yeah....um not so much. This morning, he snapped at her for the second time he didn't hurt her, but he scared the poos right out of her, she ran up to the house and cried for about 1 minute. When he saw she was crying, he started crying. She sort of had it coming, she keeps biting his feet. Anyway, after that, and she cried and carried on, he has been actually loving towards her, kissing her and letting her come up to him without storming off. She isn't biting his feet, so I think she took the hint.
Love is FAR into the future...
:D

I'm sure Mr. Stinky-Butt will soon love and cherish his little sis. Maybe if she starts having a stinky-butt too, he'd take to her better? ::)Â
Hopefully it will only take a little more time... ;)
-
OK Gossy has figured how to wedge herself under the futon and sleep buttom up. The other pic is of her in front of the fan.
We are having so much fun! She is going potty on command, mostly... She hasn't had an accident in TWO days! YAY.
Badger is doing SO much better today. He is taking his food sweetly again, and he is being more pleasant to pupper, although he is still accidently on purpose stepping on her here and there.

Congrats ;D she is just beautiful lil Miss Thing ;)
It took Puck awhile to adjust to Farley as a pup. It was far from brotherly love at first sight. I would say by 2.5 weeks Puck figured the lil buggar wasn't going away so he might as well be freinds. Then Puck realized the lil thing wanted to play. Then he was cool ::)
Rosie he accepted right away and it was nothing like Farley.....
The upside down sleeping under the futon pic is just way too cute......what a lil monkey ;)
