HI all,
Hope I am doing this correctly? New to boards. New GS owner as well! Day two of the madness of owning a puppy; wow how quickly we forget. Our other dog is a boxer-pit mix/9 years old.
Just wanted to say HI and meet everyone!
OH I am sure I will be posting often as i already have tonsssss of questions!???

Welcome to BPO!...I'm Chelle & my big guys are Samson & Pippin, both Great Pyrenees...We will be adding a sweet little girl Pyr to our pack on Thursday!...Her name is Sheba & she is 5 months old!...I hope you'll enjoy your time here!

thank you for the welcome! day 3 of this biting and peeing and poopoo-ing madness continues and not to mention loss of sleep d/t whiny nights! OH but how cute she is!
going this am for 2nd series of shots. i hope she doesn't bite the vet too...LOL!

Hi Tina, I have been admiring Jack's photo everytime I see it! he is so gorgeous! but then again all the dogs are very beautiful...I just love big dogs!

Welcome to the group. As for pictures be sure to have DH show YOU how to post.... we will want to see LOTS of pictures.
As for puppyhood... I promise it will get better.

Welcome. I am Eileen the provider to NOLA, our 17 month old male mastiff. We have finally gotten over our sleep deprivation... once he stopped needing to potty at night, he was able to jump in bed with us and wake us at 3 am for a snuggle. Good luck with the pup. Where are the pictures?

That's Bear and Nakita in the pic - 3 and 9 years, respectively. Fairly new here myself and LOVE it.

I'm new to this Big Paws thing too; our GS is only 3 months old. Repeat after me, "The crate is my best friend"!!!
I can't believe I ever tried to housetrain dogs without a crate! Agh!
Keep track of how fast your girlie grows because you just won't believe it. She'll be putting paws on the counter by the time she's 3 months. And the barking quickly gets deeper and more threatening-sounding, so try to teach her the command "quiet." (At least, that's what I'm working on with Atlas right now!)

Hi, I am Paige and somewhat new to this site as well- it is a great site. I am owned by 3 Pyrs (2 in the pic) a Great Dane (one of the greatest loves of my life) and Nefoundland/Golden Retriever. All of my dogs are rescues and 2 of the Pyrs and the Newf mix are still in potty training 101. ( I know own a carpet cleaner) Good luck with your new giant- they are well worth the work and time that you invest in them.
