: Planning a Trip with your Pet
: TwoNewfies June 26, 2005, 06:04:20 PM
Hello!
We are planning a trip to NC  (Charlotte and Raleigh) in October.  We're planning on relocating there in the next year or two and want to scope it out. We want to take the dogs instead of leaving them in a kennel or have a pet sitter come daily. We did some research and found that Residence Inn's allow large breeds. By chance, does any one know of any other hotel chains that accomodate big paws?? Or any on the NC area specifically? This is good info to know for any future trips as well.

On our trip this week we went to Motel 6 and had the 3 dogs there for no extra charge. I know a lot of others like the Hilton will let your dog stay there too. Have fun planning the trip!

I have stayed in a Holiday Inn and a Marriot with my dog...

This might help

My Emma is a spoiled one, who gets to travel all the time.  Anytime I have off two days in a row (I work retail, so that only happens once or twice a month now), my fiance, Emma, and I hop into the car and off we go.

Red Roof Inns and Motel 6's (both Accor hotels) will always take pets, so long as it's not prohibited by local law.  With Red Roof Emma has managed to go up and down the eastern seaboard a few times now.  We even got lucky with a Red Roof just one block from the beach (dog friendly on-leash, mind you) in Myrtle Beach- and the room even had a jacuzzi!

It's not nearly as hard as one would think to travel with your babies.
