Hi! Name is Jeane and my kennel name is Mt High Aussies! Been owned by Aussies since 1976 and can't imagine life without them! Used to live in CO (20 years) and moved to TX in 1992! Hoping to get re-involved in some of the venues offered by ASCA!

Mostly lived East of Colorado Springs......P eyton and Calhan. Lived in Black Forest a couple of times and in Grand Junction for a short time! All this, and we weren't even military! lol ::)

Jeane; My name is Beth and I am owned by an Alaskan Malamute, Raisa, and a Great Pyrenees, Czar. We live in a very rural area in south central Wisconsin. I have been owned by Alaskan Malamutes for (20) years, and have now been adopted by this big, lovable, polar bear, Czar. I have also been involved in rescuing and placing a Landseer Newfoundland last year, and (3) Siberian Huskies in the past. They all now have wonderful, loving and healthy homes, and that is so important.

Hello, I have been owned by many dogs, but this is my first large one! I have an 11 month old Komondor and am learning all the joys and also challenges of being owned by a large dog. Am looking forward to any tips! Lisa

:) I lives in New Zealand (north island) and I have a Bernese mountain pup name Autumn and she will be going on 10 month on 5th April - Also we do have a chihuahua, 2 maltese and a black labrador - I used to own a Samoyed from when I was young... Love to get a samoyed one day!

I am currently owned by Great Pyrenees (5) and PBGVs (also 5) but I used be owned by 2 Aussies I love the breed!!

We live in Pennsylvania, USA with our Saint Bernard, Sampson, and our American Cocker Spaniel, Jo Cocker. Both dogs are 5 years old, but the Cocker rules the roost.
We also have finches - Gouldians and Zebras. And a fresh water aquarium.
Have had dogs all of our lives and love them all...big and small!
Got home from work today and bathed 2 dogs. Now, I'm dog tired! :)

Hi Jeane, I'm "JEANNE"!!
I am currently VP of our local Humane Society in south Louisiana (after being President for 5 years). I have one red merle aussie, one collie/golden mix, one Australian Cattle dog and her neurologically impaired puppy, and one old beagle. We are also fostering one aussie mix for a woman who just had surgery for stomach cancer. No more room for rescue right now. The inn is officially full!!
BTW, how can I post a picture here? I'd love to share photos of my babies

Hello. We live in Cambridge, Massachusetts and have been owned by an Akita/Border Collie mix for almost 6 weeks!!! He is our fist dog (we're newlyweds) and could not be happier. Bailey is the best thing that could have happened to us. He brings a smile to our faces at least 1,000 times a day. :) Bailey is 16 weeks old.

Hi, my name is Linda and I am the proud "Mother" of an Aussie. She is a 7 year old Blue Merle named Cookie. She came from ARPH rescue. We have trained her in Agility, but mostly she just keeps track of me - very velcro. I also don't know how to put pictures on, but If I can figure out how, I will put one of her on line.

Hello Everyone! I'm owned by a 3 year old red merle Australian Shepherd and she's one of the great loves of my life. I rescued her from the dog pound a year ago and have never regretted a single moment! My daughter has had a female blue merle Aussie for 9 years, so when I saw my Savannah at the pound I had to give her a home filled with love. :)

Hi I'm Vicki. Mama to Finn, a 6 month old Irish Wolfhound, and Sakwa and Tali my two 2 year old Sheltie mixed that we adopted from the shelter. We're from Maine and crazy about our fur babies! My girls are so sweet and well behaved I can't believe they were at the shelter (found as strays together). We just adopted Finn a month ago from an IW breeder (I hate to refer to him as a purchase) and he is coming along nicely. A very sweet boy and he is learning commands quickly. I already can't picture our lives without him!
We also have 2 cats and an 8 year old human son named Jack.
Hubby says we now have a full house so no more!

Hello my name is Anita and we have 3 goofy Newfies! We have two 2 yr. old siblings and one 9 month old half brother. We love them to pieces and it is a new circus in our house everyday! Our two big ones love to swim in the bay and the puppy will probably learn to follow this spring. We are training them for pet therapy and water rescue. In the summer here in NJ they love the water but, I think their favorite season is winter with tons of snow!

You sure picked the right dog. I have been in Aussies since 1970. My husband thinks I suffer from MPD (Multiple Pet Disorder). I currently have 14 Aussies, all house raised. A brand new litter and one on the way. We show when we can, and have wonderful handlers. We used to show our dogs ourselves, then came a few car accidents for me and my husband has a really funny gait ;D. Oh well, at least we have a specials bitch and a wonderful male that are showing right now.

HI! I'm Nicole...I'm 27. I'm not "owned" by any dog, we've got more of a roommate situation! he-he! He respects me, and I respect him. His name is Cabeza and he's a 6 year old Newf mix. We also live with my boyfriend of 7 years, my 11 year old daughter, and our three kitties: Kyle, Pierre and Lex. Our American Bulldog, Bo left us for heaven almost a year ago.
We live in Michigan City, Indiana, pretty close to Chicago. We live right on Lake Michigan, which makes Cabeza SUPER-HAPPY! We're anticipating a new baby Newf to join the house hold, possibley in the fall.

Sherry, you have an AWESOME website!! I loved watching the litter grow and am so happy you kept Maddie. Have you shown her yet? How has she done? We have a red merle male (neutered) who is my husband's best friend and travel companion. He lives for the frisbee (Rocko, not my husband). I am so impressed with your set up as a breeder - and I don't say that too often as I do rescue and see way to many horrific breeding situations - and far too many deaf and blind merle mix aussies from bad breeders. I love that you have the dogs inside and still use them for herding as they obviously love to work! And I am so impressed that you even reach out to adopt these intelligent dogs out for service work. Kudos to you! If anyone is looking for a breeder, I'm going to point them your way!

Hello, I have Greta (7-yr old rottweiler), Lou (7-year old rott/lab X) and the newest addition, Betti (2-yr old rottweiler). I found Big Paws Only while browsing craigslists.co m for the Spokane, WA area. (We live in Spokane for the time being.) I saw the photo of grizzley at the top of the page and thought I had better investigate further.
This is a great site! I am very pleased. I enjoy the photographs and information. The "Paw Print Profiles" are unique and fun to create.
Lou and Greta were raised in Seattle and enjoyed a multitude of off-leash parks and obedience training clubs. They are both Canine Good Citizens, but they are still an extreme amount of responsibility . Betti is still learning...she will go on her first camping trip in two weeks. Yay! I wonder how she will do....
I will have to let you know and share some photos. I hope she can sleep through the night and is not bothered by the forest noises. :)
