Hello! Lucian went out for a night on the town! We took him to our favorite local dive bar where he was surrounded by DVM and other vet tech friends of mine. He was adored by all (especially our waitress who used to lay on the floor with Eli and feed him treats). This was the first time we'd been back since we lost Eli - when the waitress heard from a friend of mine what had happened with him, she broke down in tears. I just couldn't return on a sad note, so we chose this Friday to make our debut.

i really love this little guy. you are so lucky to have such a sweetie like him in your life. and im so glad that everyone all around loves him too. But how can people mistake that cute face for a sharpei? haha silly foolish people! LOL

Super cute, where do you live that you can bring him to the bar? I'm jealous on that one, seeing as i work in a bar. If anyone is making you the "i'm not a shar-pei t-shirt (duh)" could i have one that says "i'm not a pitbull".

ME TOO PLEASE hahaha Zero is called Pit Bull every time i have him out... Jigsaw is more "Don cherry dog" or "Spuds MacKenzie" but not zero, ironicly, they are the same breed- people are just ignorant

SO CUTE!! I hear ya on the t-shirt thing. Is that a long haired chihuahua!? NO!!! Someone the other day asked me if Atlas was a wolf, which isnt too bad, but still. Why dont people ASK what breed is that? Instead of guessing?

We live in Philly and there are numerous bars here that are dog friendly. Almost as many as when I lived in Chicago!
As for the breed shirts- I literally have heard "Is that A Shar-Pei?" 30-50 times in the past week. We also got one guy who asked "Is that a *PUGGLE*" uhhh.....

Puggle...Shar Pei???? :o I can understand that they might not recognize a Dogue but I still cannot imagine where they got those two guesses. I wish that I had a dime for everytime in the last 17 years that someone has asked if one of our Pyrs was a Samoyed/Golden cross. ;D
I'd love to have bars & restaurants around here that welcome dogs! Lucky you!!!

No one ever knows what my Pyrs are either, but they ask instead of guess. At the last vet visit the guy next to me said he used to have a Samoyed with a face just like theirs..umm not really.

I'm originally from Chicago, every neighborhood had their own bar and your dog was welcome. Now I live in the Bible belt very different down south ::)

What cute pics!!! Those were some pretty random guesses. Jeez!! People always guess that Ranger is a St. Bernard or a St. Bernard/Rottweiler mix. Uh... no... then I have to explain that he is a Swissy.
