Hi All
I am making a request to all the dog lovers I can find for
COOPER.
He is in training to be a therapy dog for special education kids,
He had exploritory surgery on the 4th,they were thinking obstruction of some kind that didn't show up on xrays.
It turned out he has Pancreatitis.
He has been in hospital since and being treated, but the I just found out that the Drs are going to do surgery again tomorrow, since there has been no improvment, and possibly remove part of his pancreatics..
So I am sinding out a prayer request to everyone for this boy,he is only 3 years old and was happy and healthy until this suddenly happened.
Just look at this picture and try to resist.
Thanks
Tricia and the fur kids

Thank you all so much for all your good thoughts and prayers,
I got an update from Coopies MOM and thought I would let you all know what is going on.
It is still serious, and his MOM is doing the best she under the circumstances.
Again thanks to everyone.
Tricia and the fur kids
Specialist is definitely worth every penny!!! Coop was in surgery almost 2 hours.
It is pancreatitis . (Our Vet here was not sure it wasn't a tumor )
We will have the results of the biopsy in about a week. If it's not what we hope it's not hopeless or things available (not going to even think of the cancer treatments!)
His lymph nodes are swelled which could be a good sign his body is fighting the above
He did have a dirreah which is also good--cleaning him of the impurities.
He is in recovery and will be for a while.
He will continue the IV
He will add a anti vomiting med
He will keep him on pain meds
His incision is from front to back of his stomach (underside)
The next 5 days are critical.
He can't say yet how he'll be or if he can fight it? But for his young age and good health prior to this it's possible.
We can call 2-3 xs a day...he will call every morning and more if there is any change we should know. There is a RN there 24/7 to answer the phone (no ans svc)
No we can't visit---he wants him calm and using his energy to fight...he would be excited to see us and very sad when he was alone again.
We are holding up as best we can! Have 6 vigil lights burning 24/7 for his healing.
Been saying prayers nonstop and trying to keep my focus on his home so Sash is not worried and makes herself sick---poor ole girl has enough on her plate and needs to stay calm. She is starting to come on the couch next to me---hasn't done that in a couple years to prefer her bed and the floor. She's not interested in the windowseat as much for me to understand that.
Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers and passing his need for prayers to those you know and we don't---we appreciate all you have done and the support you have given to
make the hardest time in our lives comforted. Please continue with us for the next five days---we need every prayer and good thought going to him so he can fight like h*ll and beat this thing. Nothing matters more than him healing and home where he belongs!

Cooper and his mom are certainly in my prayers. I so hope that he makes a full recovery.

aaawwwwww of course we pray.
-
Awww, poor Cooper! We're praying for a quick recovery for Cooper. Please tell his mom that they are in our thoughts and that everyone's pulling for them.
-
Well I told you all I would keep you updated on poor Cooper, and his MOM is passing on a warning about *milkbones*which seems to be what brought all this about from everything they can figure.
The POWER of PRAYER knows no bounds!!!!
Vet called at 9-----Cooper vomited violently after the surgery, anesthesia does that to some animals.
He has not vomited for the last 12 hours!!! This is EXCELLENT---every hour he goes w/out
vomiting is what he was hoping for because it is the sign he's healing and responding!
He will keep him on the IV until mid day Sunday when he'll try some solid food.
Don't have to tell you we're going to keep praying he can meet that challenge as well and keep what he eats down...he has to be famished. Coop could eat like a little oinker...he loved eating and his treats.
We'll get another update after dinner. He told us to call whenever we needed to, someone is there around the clock for it no problem. We called last night around 11 to be told he was up and urinated fine:) had some dirreah which was great since he was so constipated for so long and would get his pain med in a bit for a good nights rest. Poor Coop must miss his pillows--he couldn't have them after the surgery---we'll ask if he can have them when we talk to the Dr tomorrow morning (he will call daily at 9 w/a report). Coop loves his 2 pillows and needs them for his naps/bedtime.
A better day for Coop and everyone who's been thinking/sending good thoughts and prayers. Thank you all and please keep the prayers going til we get the biopsy report---if they're normal Coop will have a much easier recovery. God Bless you all. Much love, Elaine, Sash and family
warning!!
Our Vet is going to give me a sheet to take to the pet food store where I got the milkbones for a refund....he said they definitely created some of his problem for the wheat he is now allergic to??? Just hope telling people what his Vet said (they're crap--worse thing you can give a dog) can help another dog from going thru this. Who knew???? That may give them second thoughts on recommending the sale items (I just remembered they were on sale for $7.99 for a 5lb box (which i don't have cause I put their treats in empty 3lb coffee cans w/lids to keep them fresh.

Poor Cooper!
