I was in a pretty bad accident last week and my seatbelt probably saved my life. So don't forget to wear yours all the time - it might save yours too, and your puppers need you to be safe!

HOLY CRAP!!!! Thank God you're ok! Probably moving really slow but.....I got used to wearing my seatbelt when we lived in Germany for 3 years. It was the law there and at the time here in the states most states had not made it a law. In Germany, they would actually pull you over if you didn't have your seatbelt on. So now when I get in a car if I don't have a seatbelt on I feel naked and uncomfortable! Again, thank goodness you're ok.

omg Heather! Thank goodness for seatbelts!!! My mom was really big on making sure all of us kids where buckled in whenever we were in the car so I too feel "naked" if I don't have mine on.

ive been a seatbelt obcessor since i became a mom ::)
before that though it was kinda the oposite. hubby and i met racing sports cars on the highway.

I too feel naked without a seatbelt.
I can tell you seatbelts save lives..... when I did rescue I NEVER unbuckled a dead person but did put several in a body-bag that had been thrown from their vehicle.

I'm ok. I have a sore neck/back/shoulder and I am bruised up and have cuts and my tooth broke (the dentist has already sorta fixed it). But in the grand scheme I feel really lucky that our injuries are MUCH better than they could be.
And Liz, yes it was a beemer. Of course we had to crash in our nice car, instead of our 10 year old junky truck. Murphy's law I guess

Owwwwww, I bet that you are pretty sore. :o I'm so glad that you were wearing your seatbelts and it wasn't any worse that it was, but it looks like it was pretty scary. We're big seatbelt proponents here too. No one rides in our car without one. My parents made sure that we wore our seatbelt's before it was the law or popular, and they probably saved our lives in a nasty accident that we had when I was 6. Thanks for the reminder, you never know when you might have just saved someone else's life with your reminder. Take care of yourselves, I hope that you're feeling back to normal soon!
