Hello, my name is Jackie Wood and I just joined you all. I am a breeder of Great Pyrenees for 18 years now. My dogs are guardians but are also being shown. I also try my best to help educate people on Pyrs, both guardian and not guardians. If I can be of help with questions please feel free to post that problem and I'll reply as soon as possible. I dont know it all but with 18 years involved in Pyrs I have learned a lot about them.
This is one of my many Pyrs, Tanimara's Dream Weaver " Dream"

oops sorry for the typo.

You certainly have that right. Very similar heads. Do you know your dogs pedigree? Dream was a daughter of Ch. Barranca's Wally and Ace's Song. Song was from Reymaree Breeding and Wally was Barranca and VillieVieux. - Jackie

Hi, I'm another Newbie,
My Pyr pup, Mike, is 4 mo old. I got him as a rescue when he was 5 1/2 weeks. This pic, if I did the attachment right, was taken when Mike was 14 weeks. His ferret friend is Zorra. They continue to be great pals. I have early parkinson's disease and am attempting to train Mike as a service dog for myself. I'm happy to have found this group and love looking at everyone's pictures of their wonderful dogs.

If I ever get savy enough I'll add Layla's pic. Layla is my second Pyr. Bodil was the first and she was in part from the Quibletown Liniage . She was with me for 15 years and help 3 of my children learn to walk. Layla is a spunky 14 month old. She is officially Pyragon's L'il Angel Layla. Even though Pyrs are supposed to be aloof she is wildly affectionate when it come to family and friends. She playss well with other dogs. And likes to join me in bed for a morning snuggle. She is pretty obedient in a Pyr sort of way, but it has taken alot of work. Its grat to have this site. Lots of fun for those of us who like big paws in our lives. Nina :)
