If and/or when you get another dog, have you picked out what breed it will be? Boy or girl? Or are you hoping to rescue whatever mixed breed or purebred comes your way? Got any colors picked out too? Tell us about it! :)
I'm pretty sure my next one will be a Harlequin Great Dane puppy, but haven't decided whether I want a boy or girl yet.
What about you? :)

I've been talking to a Tibetan Mastiff Breeder. In about 2 years or so, I hope to be taking home a Black and Tan boy with possibly some white in him. This will be my first ever registered dog. :D
-
I am working on my hubby to get this sweet guy

I have been eyeing the Bracco Italianos....l ol I would like a boy. That won't be for a verrrrrrrrry looooooooooooo ong time though ;)
-
Hmm...I guess I'm with Jenn, Jackie and JuJu. Usually its whatever random dog crosses our path. I s'pose if I had to choose, though, it would be a Newf or a Dane.
-
It will be a male Landseer with show potential. I have no plans of ever getting anything other than Newfs ever again.
-
I want a newf, dane, neapolatin mastiff or st bernard....... .but whatever chooses me will be my next furry.
-
My list is really endless :-\
But if I had to choose just one...
I smooth coat Saint girl ~ doesn't matter if she has a full mask or a half, freckles or none...temperm ent is the most important to me...
NOW that is if hubby gives in ;D
Hubby would like a French Bulldog or a Boston Terrier

Oh my Lord Byron! ;)
Um, yeah, you guys neeeeed him. What does hubby say?
He says we don't BUT I am working full time on changing his mind ;) Oh my Lord ::)
-
I am sure I will rescue another APBT....after that, well, I have had my eye on a few Boerboels...bu t that is a LONG while off!
-
I'll prob get ethier another APBT or Americal Bulldog but if I have the room I would love a Swissie.
But since I have 2 very young dogs now it will be a very long time.
-
Well my next dog will definately be a female
I would love a Mastiff still working on hubby - I did look at pictures of my beloved springer Stoli the other day and I could go for another one of those
But my best shot is going to find something in need of rescue - hubby would go for that!!
-
We're waiting for our perfect Bully girl. yes, another girl ::) i prefer to get a colored, Red with white, or tri colored, but will definately take another brindle :D But color isnt important, white is good, minus all the grooming to keep them white ::) Also, we might look into another Crested soon enough. i'd love a little boy, but i dont know how zero will react to that.
but as for another breed, im waiting patiently for my english bulldog... LOL
-
It's going to be awhile, but I think it will either be a Pyr, Leonberger, Tibetan Mastiff or Bull Terrier.
(What? That's narrowed down from the 20 or so I had before...) :D
-
Well always have a Newf but when we get a house with a yard & can add another dog, we're thinking Briard cuz the Alf dog is sooo cute! Maybe a Dane though since our neighbor Danes are so cute & extra lovey dovey.
-
Well, it turns out that even though Louie didn't work out, hubby has softened a bit and said he might be more "into" getting another dog if he got to participate in the picking - yay!! (I send him pictures and links all the time - I guess it gets old...) So, our next dog will be...
whatever picks us! I want a large black dog, with soft short hair.
-
More then likely a Saint.I torture myself everyday looking at ones that need homes. If I can get my business where I want financially I would like to start a Saint rescue, one can dream ;)
-
Not real sure but I do have a list :)
Another female Wire-Haired Vizsla, a female or male Whippet, or a male Rott, are the top 3 as of now.
No matter which it was it would come from a breeder for the purpose of showing/dog sports.
-
More than likely a Rottie or Pit Bull from a shelter or rescue group. I don't have a preference for boy/girl, temperament being of utmost importance, but I do want a young adult, 2 or older. I also can't imagine not having a Pyr in my life, so another Pyr would be a possibility as well.
-
My dogs are fairly young, so this is a long way off, but my next dog will likely be another rescued Lab or a Lab mix. But then, like several others have mentioned, it may just be whatever rescued dog grabs my heart at the time that I'm ready to get another animal... But knowing that there are so many Labs/Lab mixes in rescue and that those are more often the ones I get pulled in by, I bet that's what I end up with.
I just have a soft spot for them, especially black lab mixes with a little white on their chest and now, after having Sadie, the yellow ones, too. And chocolates are pretty... ;) Though, I may just have a Saint, too-a rescued one this time. Riley II and Sadie II.
I'm kidding about the names, of course. LOL
-
mastiff or a wolfhhound
-
A male Borzoi puppy ;) Will announce everything when he actually arrives!
-
I've been really thinking about a pittie, too. They're my faves, really. Also, when Marina posted that Dogo, I actually had to stop myself. Molly and I have been wanting a dogo for years.
-
I want a newf. I also want another pyr. And a bernese mountain dog. And an english bulldog. And then, my life will be complete! ;D
-
My next dog will have to wait awhile in case I get accepted into nursing school, plus I don't think my landlord would appreciate three dogs in his house (even though he knows I take care of everything)!! But I really want a merle dane and a leo, whichever comes first!!! I will probably always have a GSD though, that's my breed!
-
Some form of Mastiff (Douge, English, Fila, Bull) or another Bassette. I will always have one of each. I have some land in Northern MN on Lake Superior and when the day comes I head for the hills I plan on adding a Lanseer into the mix.
