I lost my best friend, Buddy. It was very sudden. He went peacefully in my arms. Buddy was in all honesty was the sweetest and gentle soul I have ever known. He left his mark on you both literally(with drool and hair),and with his gentleness. I wonder around my quiet apartment and he is missing even when he is sleeping you could feel his presence. But I know in my heart he is running with all the other big kids at the bridge. I know I will rescue again but not sure when I will be able to do that definitely not for a while. But when I am ready I will start the search for another big kid that needs a loving home and I also want to have that love back in my place again. All of you know how incredibly quiet it is when there is no pet in your home.

Oh...what happened? Welcome to BPO - you'll find lots of comfort here, and many who have been where you are. Buddy looks like he was a handsome dude, and he'll always be with you in your heart!

Im so sorry about Buddy. But his love for you and your love for him, will always be there. When you are ready to adopt agian your heart will know. Sometime when you least expect it a dog will tug at your heart and ... yes ... you will know. so sorry for your loss. Brooklily's mum
