: Beautiful Gr Pyr in Ky shelter
: DAMAGE March 31, 2008, 10:34:38 AM
Anyone know of a rescue that can help this guy? Doesn't seem right to leave him to take his chances in a 'kill' shelter!  http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10548486   I'd be glad to help arrange transport if he had to come east through PA.

Paige sent this to me this morning. I've passed it on to Mid-South Rescue. He's beautiful isn't he?! The StX puppers also. They look SO SAD!

Thanks so much for posting Dana!

He looks terrified:( Poor boy....I need to win the lottery like right now! Then I'd have the room, money to hire help and pay bet bills to help every single one of these big paws.

Heard back from Andee @ Mid-South Gr Pyr Rescue. She's getting the word out in their area (KY) & I'll update as things progress.

The Pyr... if there was any way to get him to me, I would take him- I just can not drive to Kentucky. I am still working on getting the Pyr from Bentonville Arkansas here with out having to drive 16 hours round trip.
So if anyone can get him here- he would be safe- I have people lined up here willing to help me.

The Saint Rescue group (on yahoo) has the info on the Saints and hopefully will be getting them pulled soon. Just did a transport leg two weeks ago on an 'owner turn in' pair of Saints that went from  Ohio to a St rescue in eastern PA. <sigh> Such a throw away society it's become.

The St Bernard Rescue co-ordianator for PA. reports that the Pyr is being pulled by a rescue group and that the two Saints have a couple of local rescue groups looking into their situation. I believe they want to temperment test them for adoption potential. That was the info she was given by the Pikesville shelter. Crossing fingers!!

Thanks for the update!  I'm crossing fingers here, too.

Dana, I don't think that I've welcomed you yet.  I'm very glad that you found us!!

The Pyr and the Saints are no longer posted on PetFinder. Hopefully that means they are all in safe hands WooHoo!

Thank you for the welcome Marie, this is a terrific group!

The Pyr Boy is safe and sound. Don't know yet about the StX Pups yet. Anyone else heard on these yet?
