: Anyone use a Coolaroo bed?
: pyr4me April 15, 2008, 01:03:29 AM
I was looking into getting Jenny the large Coolaroo bed/cot to help her feel cooler in the summer when she's lounging. I'd love to hear the BPO'ers experience before I buy one.

I have two of them. I bought them for outside and while my prima donna's refused to use them outdoors - they both get used inside with the addition of blanket on one and cushion on the other... hmmmmmm - do you think my babies are spoiled?!  :D

They are sturdy and so reasonably priced.

Great price !!Great bed!!! Sturdy and easy to clean.
I bought it for Puck and he liked it until Farley peed on it. Now Rosie and Farley use it outside. I bring it in for the winter and use a bed on it.
ITs a thumbs up for this bed in our house   :)

I got one for Zoey way back when and I couldn't get her to use it - she was absolutely terrified to try it out. Even with the lure of steak it freaked her out to not be on solid ground... But I think I'll bring it up from the basement soon for Penny to try.

I got one for Kita (our old gal) b/c she had terrible skin issues and was sensitive to the cold concrete outside even in the summer when it was warm.  She loved it.

Kana will not go near it. I think it must have moved or something when he went to get on it and now he's spooked. It's been in the attic but maybe we'll pull it out this year and see.  He's just such a boy he would rather just lay or sit in the mud or grass!!!! :D

Poochieheaven.com (http://Poochieheaven.com) sells a DuoTemp dog bed that is able to be cool or warm. It is 33" x 24", it is a little too smal for my GSD, but it might work for others. Here is a link to it http://www.poochieheaven.com/duotemp_dog_bed-p-611.html (http://www.poochieheaven.com/duotemp_dog_bed-p-611.html).

We loved ours!!  We had the large and the medium and put them right next to eachother so that way it mad a HUGE dogbed.  We put blankets on it and made it really comfy.

We have not put them out since we moved in our new house.  We found these REALLY nice dog beds from SAMS for 12 dollars each so we bought two of those.  But I will probably bring it out again!
