Hi all..
I think that something is very wrong with my Magic
Last week I made the mistake of giving him a *pig ear* or so I thought..
He seemed to have a tummy problem from that and just layed on his bed and wouldn't respond or eat or anything else..
The next day he was back to himself..
Today..a week later..he suddenly was not responsive..
didn't want to move..labored breathing..and not making any eye contact..
It was so bad that my 1st gut reaction was that I was losing him..I knew that if I took him to the vet the trauma of it could do him in..and if he was going I wanted him here and comfortable with us..
He is on his bed behind me and tomorrow he will be going in to the vet no matter what so that if there is anything I can do for him I will..
Please say a prayer for him and me..
I can't imagine my life without him in it..
He has been the Magic in my life for 9 1/2 years.

First I thought "obstructed bowel" from the pig ear - but it is a week later, so are you sure they are connected? I can't give my setter anything like that at all. I hope the vet can sort it all out for you!

I was wondering about that when I read your first post because the way you were describing Magic is very similar to what Daphne did on New Years. Unfortunately I don't know much about Daphne's background, or her accurate age for that matter!! But the meds are doing ok so far.
I'm sorry for your news. As you said; spoil, pamper and spoil again!!

Oh Tricia, I was so hoping for better news. Like Amy, I'll be praying for a miracle, too. My Daisy is 9 now also, and I know how important she is to me. Your family will be in my thoughts & prayers. Please keep us posted and give Magic a hug & kiss for me.

Meds working well for our 13yr Chihuahua with enlarged heart. Not sure if same thing for Magic, but Chili has been his old self for over a year now. Love and kisses Magic. You're not going to let a little ol' wah show you up are you?
