I am going to be induced on Saturday morning. My blood pressure all of a sudden went up and I had to get blood work done. I am calling back at 4 to see the results but he feels that I dont need to go much longer because of that.
He also stripped my membranes. So I guess I will have a baby by saturday

Well he said that he is going to get home in time. They are going to let him come home if I go into labor. It just depends if he can do it in time.

Sorry about the BP - I hope you're ok! Kinda funny that you've been wishing and hoping to get going, and now you'll be tryin' to hold her in until hubby gets home! July is Cancer the Crab - I have two Cancer babies and they are both super sweet and super mellow!

yea this is the first time my blood pressure has ever been high so maybe it will go back down. i had blood work done and i have to call them at 4 to find out the results. not really sure what will happen if there is something wrong. i am sure they will just go ahead and induce me. Good a mellow ,sweet baby gir is exactly what i would like!!!!!

Ok I ust got off the phone with the doctor the blood work came out fine. So now we are just waiting for Friday to see if my blood pressure has gone down. I wish I had a cuff. I would be checking it to make sure it was going down.
It is going to drive me nuts waiting until Friday but I guess it is only a day away!!

Has anyone ever had their membranes stripped? I was wondering the success rate with it. I didnt think that it was that good, that you actually had to have it done a couple of times.
But alot of ppl have commented to me to get ready I will have her before Saturday. Has anyone else had this done and if so did you go into labor in the next couple of days or nothing happened? I was just curious more than anything.

Sorry, I am of no help in the membrane dept....lol but I just wanted to wish you well and hope for a speedy delivery. Can't wait to see ALL the pictures of baby girl when she gets here :D

Hubby is ready to jump the moment I call. I have started to have contractions but nothing timeable or anything to make me think oh I am in labor.
I am definatley interested in the scrapbooking!!
He is actually due back on Friday. Hubby is hoping to get done early on Thursday so he can come on home. I hope that everyone is ready for picture overload the moment she is born.

The midwife stripped my membranes with my first. I was already in labor with contractions at 10 minutes apart. I just never felt a cx. Hurt like h311! I didn't go back to the hospital till the evening when I started to feel something and they were 5 minutes apart by the time I felt anything.
I hope your hubby makes it home quickly. I think the stripping will speed things up IF you are already dialating and effaced when they do it.

Great News!!! Hubby is on his way home today!!! He managed to get alot done this morning and thinks that they will be able to leave by lunch time.
So he said no matter what he will be home by dinner time!! I am not really having a whole lot of contractions but I am just laying around hoping my BP will go down. I need to clean the house a little but I am going to wait until this evening before I do that.
The poor dogs! They dont understand why I didnt walk them last night or this morning. :'(I feel bad but I am letting them run the backyard pretty good in the yard. Hopefully that will help and when Hubby gets home tonight he can walk them.

Yea everyone is telling me sleep now because you are going to miss it later but I cant even think about sleeping. I am just laying here so excited that soon she will be next to me.
