If a dog is PRA DNA clear by the parents, does he still need to go for CERF tests? What is the difference? (also, when breeding (which isn't for a long time) it is ok to not pra him since his parents were? or show we? there is just so much to do, and since titan is now 13 months, we need to start moving!!)

Yes, he would still need to be CERF'd. CERF looks for far more then just PRA.
Did BOTH his parents test clear of the PRA gene? If so, then he would not need to be PRA DNA tested.
Really you have plenty of time since the only test that will carry over is OFA Cardiac which can be done at 12 months old. Your breed club states CERF must be done at 24 months or older and its the same for hips, elbows, Cystinuria and thyroid.

I second VDogLover....t he CERF is still important for any dog being bred as it detects far more and different things - it essentially is checking for any and all abnormalities in the eye - including entroprian and ectropian conditions which are actually eyelid issues.
