Hello all,
Found this site and thought it would be cool to get involved and hopefully gain some insite from those that have lived with these incredible animals!! This is my first Newf, but I have had several other dogs in the past, ranging anywhere from Giant Malamutes, to Miniature Dachs. I know this will be different, but ever since I met the first one (202# male cool and calm as could be), I just had to have one. I have been to visit several breeders and have met over 100 newfs now. I found a breeder I trust and now have just over 3 weeks until the "little" guy comes home. Can't Wait!!

Here's a pic at ~4 weeks old.

How adorable! Glad you found this site and congratulation s on your new baby--I'm sure you can't wait til he comes home. :)
-
You're going to love it here. I almost spend more time here than with my bubs.
I can't get enough of Newf puppy pictures, so please be prepared to post many.
Congratulation s and welcome.

Thanks everyone!! Yeah, I can't wait until the furball is home!!! We have been waiting for quite a while now as the first pup we were going to get had to be put down due to a rare birth defect that went undetected until the first sign at 6 weeks and then after being re-evaluated at 9 weeks had worsened. They didn't expect her to make it to even 6 months.
We have had a hard time deciding on a name for the male, but we have finally narrowed things down. For the moment the name "Doc" is the winner.

Congratulation s! I am getting a newf pup in 9 weeks! I am sure by that point I will be writing you for advice! Cant wait to hear the goofie newfie pup stories! And please - more pictures!
-
What a doll! I can't wait to see the pup once you get him.
-
Thanks again everyone!! We are heading up next weekend to meet the little guy...Kind of a tease I suppose, since we won't be taking him home for another week or so after that. But we'll only be a couple hours away due to another camping trip, so we might as well take the chance to see him at 6 weeks old.
-
take pictures!!!!
-
Congrats on your newf pup and getting to go see him. Can't wait to see more pics of him. He is adorable.

Well we went to Canada this past weekend and got to meet the puppies!! After playing with them, and speaking with the breeder, we decided to go with the less "vocal" of the 2 males. We get to pick him up on August 30th!!!
Here's a couple pics (Clicking the links will give larger images)

Omigosh. He is just as sweet as can be! Squeeze his little face and cover him with gobs of kisses for all of us!!!

Yeah, it sucks having to wait, especially now that we've had the chance to see him in person!!
-
Well everyone, tomorrow's the day!!! We leave tonight to cut the drive in half, we'll arrive in Canada tomorrow morning, where we'll be picking up our Newf pup!
-
What a cute little fluff ball! What is his name going to be? Good luck, and have fun!
-
Ohhhhh, I'm so excited for you! Congratulation s in advance & we can't wait to see more pics of your sweet little fuzzily one! :-* :-* :-*

The trip went well and "Murphy" (Yes, we finally picked a name) is a great traveler. The first couple of days we thought we had a elderly dog in a puppy's body, seeing how he just kind of sat around, and really didn't even make a peep. Well, that is all definately changing!! He is obviously getting more comfortable with his new home. He is such a good boy and honestly the calmest puppy I have ever seen. I will post pictures as soon as I have the opportunity!!!!
-
Congrats! Too funny, we just got a pup last week and almost named him Murphy, but ended up with Romeo. They are a blast! Romeo plays "mop" dragging along on Olives tail.
-
What a doll baby. Looks like a sweet boy. I love the new puppy stage. It's almost like you go to bed and can't wait to get up in the morning just to see them.
-
Hello,
I just recently got a male gray newfie pup, his name is Neptune. I thought that was a cool name for a water dog.
-
You have a cute little pup there. It only gets better! Here's a couple of pictures of when Nemo entered the "porker" stage. He has always been a rowdy little @*&# and poor Elwood and me had to endure those sharp little teeth. Enjoy.
Are you gonna get him a buddy?
-
OMG...All these precious little newf puppy pics are driving me crazy!! I must not get a new puppy...not yet not yet not yet....hahaha. ..Maybe I can just be happy watching all your pups!! Congrats to you all ;)

Does Romeo still have blue eyes? I've never seen a blue eyed Newf?
