I must say I never considered a tattoo - but that is a beautiful tribute to your Ellie!!  The design is beautiful and the meaning is as well.

Blu is looking like "Where's my tattoo?"   you can always have the current tattoo added on to if you want to.  a good artist will figure out a very neat way to do it.  Say add names around or on the existing tatt.  you'll know when you do it.

I think it's beautiful.  Maybe for Blu, you could do the same kind of heart with banner (with his name, of course) and then a different little element from the bone in Ellie's...  Maybe a dog collar, or crown or something on the top side of the heart.  It looks much better in my mind than I am describing it!

(My idea of a tattoo for my old boy Cabo, was always a heart with his name on it, with angel wings coming out the side of the heart, and a halo or crown over it...)

That is such a beautiful memorial to Ellie.  I was thinking the same thing about Blu's paw print.
