You read that right.  Approx 500 of the 600 dogs rescued are in various stages of pregnancy.  :o  :o

I wish I lived closer. We've been wanting to foster for months but the shelter here never has any need for foster homes. I would love to take in a few of those dogs.

The sad thing is, if they don't find massive amounts of foster homes those birthing mothers may go unnoticed if she needs help birthing or needs a c-section. So not only are the puppies at risk, but the adult dogs. And if they make it through delivery, you know those puppies will get adopted long before they ever do. :/ I wish I could do more to help.

I know, I wish i wasn't halfway across the country.  But I thought someone here might live near enough to help out.  :)

Glad to hear they were able to shut that place down. Sending prayers to all those rescuers to beable to care for all those poor animals!
